Re: North Loop Neighborhood
The bigger problem, for me, was that they were charging $8 for all of their guest beers, according to their website. $8 for a Summit EPA or a Point Lager? Not happening. They've already changed their pricing and selection on the website, though. Summit EPA is down to a more normal $6(expensive, but ...

Re: Car Sharing
I was able to use my free 30 minutes this weekend on for two one-way trips, and I have to say that it worked pretty well. There's only 49 cars in use right now, so their locations aren't ideal right, but that should change when they expand to the 250 cars they originally talked about.

Re: City Place Lofts - (730 Hennepin Avenue)
Who can afford to live in subsidized housing downtown/North Loop? The only people that I've ever met that lived in Creamette/Gar Scott/Heritage Landing were young people in the service industry that technically fall under the income restrictions, yet in reality probably make more than I do. I don't ...

Re: City Place Lofts - (730 Hennepin Avenue)
They just started trying to rent these within the last week for an October opening. For downtown, they're actually exceptionally large apartments. How is $930/mo.(650-956(!)sq ft) for someone making less than $34,000 a year "affordable", though? I guess I need to cut back my hours or ask f...

Re: Downtown Restaurant News
Aye, I've never actually been in Deja Vu, so the way you explain it (that they'd use the front of the 3 story building for the sports bar) makes sense. 2200 Sq Ft isn't that big for a bar, is it?

Re: Downtown Restaurant News
I think they're talking about the 3 story building that's still painted pink and green, but has no Deja Vu branding on it at all. There was a story about turning this same building in to a sports bar back when Target Field opened, but that obviously fell through.
