Re: Minneapolis Fiber Internet and Cable Services
Any news on when streets being missed in Northrop will be covered? Bloomington Ave looks lonely.

Re: Minneapolis Fiber Internet and Cable Services
Depending on how the summer goes with construction and the weather we will be adding more streets to the map.
I am planning a monthly map update to reflect how our progress is going.
Thanks.

Re: Minneapolis Fiber Internet and Cable Services
Travis, what's the average lag time between when the main trunk line gets laid in the street in front of a house and when that individual house's NID box gets connected to it and goes live? Does the trunk need to get run down the entire contiguous north/south span (10+ blocks) before any of the NID boxes on it go live?

Travis, FYI the map here seems to be outdated: https://my.usinternet.com/fiber/order/
Maybe you can embed that newer map?

Travis -
USI seems to send out a TON of mailers...even to existing customers. I've been a customer since the day I moved into my apartment building (Feb. 1) and I have probably received one of your glossy mailers every two weeks since...if not even more frequently. I know you're probably hitting my apartment building hard since it is larger (64 units) and is already fully wired. But you might want to remove current customers from your mailer rolls...seems like a huge waste of money and paper. And even for people who aren't subscribers - every two weeks is pretty damn excessive.

I was able to sign up by calling in, even though I could not sign up online. Just a heads up for those who want to get connected as soon as possible.

Is the current and updated USI fiber location map.
Good point on the mailers, I am looking into the logic associated with the list generation, thanks for the heads up.

Re: Minneapolis Fiber Internet and Cable Services
We turn up areas in 6 block sections, so the entire area does not need to be complete.Travis, what's the average lag time between when the main trunk line gets laid in the street in front of a house and when that individual house's NID box gets connected to it and goes live? Does the trunk need to get run down the entire contiguous north/south span (10+ blocks) before any of the NID boxes on it go live?
Example, Lyndale from Lake Street to 3599 will be going live in two weeks, the 3600-4199 will go live a week after, etc...
We are building from the west to east, so 18th ave will be at the end of the summer (unless weather permits).
Thanks.

So I guess nobody's asked yet, When are you guys looking to get into Corcoran? Would that be moving from the west or from the south?

Awww, man. That 5th->Portland jog at 48th is the biggest tease ever. So close, yet so far. Next year, I hope.
The problem with being an introvert online is that no one knows you're just hanging out and listening.

Hopefully in the 2017 season, my business partner and I went to South High School and we would love to see access there in the next couple years.

It it influences your decision, there's a 100+ unit apartment building being built on my block starting this summer (the current MPS site at Lake & Hiawatha), with another 400 or more units going there in the next 5-10 years. So I guess nobody's asked yet, When are you guys looking to get into Corcoran? Planning to keep going until we hit the river next year, might be able to squeeze a leg or two to the north, let me play with the design and see what I can do.
