Good sandwiches, but overpriced and a downright terrible location for this type of business. Did they even bother putting up a sign? I think they completely misread the neighborhood on price-point, foot traffic, everything. Decent enough concept, which might've had a chance in North Loop, Old St. Anthony, Linden Hills or 50th & France, etc.
I am constantly amazed at how many entrepreneurs aren't that good at it. If you don't understand "location, location, location", there's bound to be trouble.

Went there once, they didn't take credit or debit cards! That's a pretty big mistake these days, and especially when you have sandwiches at that price point.

Would probably have helped if Cedar wasn't so unpleasant to walk.

Cedar Inn at 42nd St will be temporarily closed beginning Feb 1 for a light refresh. New owners, but supposedly the name and the menu will be remaining.

I've been watching this one. For a while I had thought they abandoned it after framing up the first level. I guess they decided to start working on it again. Anyone know how big it is going to be?

From past renderings, I think they're working on the top floor currently. The project is called Bloom Lake Flats, here's a little more info:
