The final upper floor of the Edition west is now complete. They just have to put on the roof and they can start with the façade work. Looks like Interior work is progressing with those units. The second level of the park Edition is now pretty much complete, level 3 should be going up very soon. The retail section of the east Edition is framed with the concrete supports. Once the roof is done on the west section, they will get going on the east section. The footings are poured and all looks ready to start.

Anyone heard when the ground breaking for the Rad Red will be taking place? I know they are still working on the east WF tower basement service entrance. But that should not take too much longer.
edit: that should be the 3rd level of stick on the park Edition that will start soon.

They took the smaller crane off the West tower now too. The exterior of that one should be wrapping up here pretty soon. Although they still have to finish wrapping the vertical columns.

What's with the cage/crown thing? That green looks too weird, and the screening/caging reminds me of the top of the Hotel Ivy (not in a good way).

It's not really green, just looks that way in the picture. It's just silver. And I think they did that just to hide the mechanicals on the roof.

I just wish that screening on top wasn't so easy to see through! Why couldn't they make it just a bit more opaque!!!??

Mainly because it is part of the heating and cooling system so they need air flowing thru for air turn over in the building. A solid surface would not allow enough air flow to match what they probably need for buildings that size.

I don't really think that is the issue...there are tons of buildings downtown with much better screened HVAC units than this. Even the top of the IVY and Nic on 5th are more opaque than this screen...there are also buildings downtown that do indeed have solid surface screens around their HVAC units...

Let's wait to pass judgment until we see how it looks lit up.

I think if they painted the screening to match the crown it would appear less jarring. They are not finished with construction so there's still hope.

Yes. Right now, it looks like a penthouse dog park. Not that it's a bad idea.

It also looks like there's some activity on the site now.

A 24-hour deli? Cool! Assuming its public and not just for the hotel guests.

Is the St. Paul Radisson Red going on 7 corners or are they the Hardware site?

Lots of activity at the site of the Radisson Red. Saw trucks hauling in fresh fill and also could make out the walls from the basement of the WF to the Red for the tunnel to the parking for the hotel. I'd say the Red is under way.

Tan bricks now going up on the west Edition. Third mural screen is almost finished on Park side of the new parking garage.

I saw the Radisson Red in progress the other day too. And one of the tower cranes came out of the second WF tower....only 1 left.
