Can't access the historic imagery anymore though! I'm crossing my fingers that this is just a blip.

Anyone else find it annoying in (classic) Google Maps that many yellow streets/roads seem to have lost that designation? Now there are many places where it's a sea of white roads with only line thickness to differentiate importance.

Still able to access historic imagery here, even with Sept 2014 imagery.

Oddly enough, some spots defaulted to Oct 2013 and I was able to move it forward to Sept 2014 by opening up the historical timeline.

^I had that same issue on Washington Ave N. It defaulted to 2013 in spots, but I could access 2014 via the timeline. That could just be temporary until more of the 2014 data is uploaded. I'm currently trying to find myself driving in Richfield...somewhere on 68th I was right behind the Google car. That would make it my third appearance, if you count my ridiculous non-face-blurred debut on Bing Maps this summer.

Looks like Google Earth updated their imagery of downtown/elsewhere.

There is also a Vikings game at TCF happening in the shot. Kinda cool.

Wow!! I love this! You can see the patio on Nic on Fifth and the new hotel and Uptown changes! It puts in perspective how much has happened in the past year

Transit convergence at the game too: https://www.google.com/maps/place/TCF+B ... d4035fbf6b

How do you know it's Oct. 12 vs. Sept. 28?

It's Oct 12th according to the "downloaded version" of Google Earth. It is time stamped on the bottom. It actually says Oct. 11th which was a Saturday. Don't know why it would be one day off.

HELLO: I am going crazy. I need a CSV file that I can plug into Google Maps with the 2010 or 2013 Census Tract data. I can find one for the whole state, but not the seven county metro. Does any smart person know where a lowly moron like myself can file such a magical file? I looked on datafinder.org and they have the tract maps in KMZ files but they don't actually include anything other than the shape, I was really hoping to have population in the file as well.

Will buy a beer at the next Happy Hour to whoever can find one!

Highly recommend playing anywhere besides Minneapolis' uber-boring (i.e. perfect) street grid. At least play downtown or somewhere with a skewed/irregular grid.

I just discovered there is street view of Solheim in Uptown. You can even go upstairs to somebody's apartment... Kinda weird. But cool.

Almost every major city in America and some minors have that 3d view... but Minneapolis. That really pisses me off for some weird reason.

I'd rather have the 45 degree view than the rendered 3d stuff. The new maps is so. slow. Especially when it's trying to render the LIDAR (or whatever) trees and cars and whatever other useless crap it picked up in satellite images.
