Drove by this morning; the gas station is gone.

Piles going in
Re: West Lake Apartments - 3012 Excelsior Blvd
Really sad to see the city approved this... the last thing we need is another extremely overpriced apartment building sitting vacant.
Not to mention this building blocked my view of the lake from my unit across the street. The constant drilling and beeping going on every weekend is getting out of hand, thankfully the city is now looking into the disturbances.

Market rate for this highly desirable lake adjacent site it high because the market is deeply under supplied, and heights artificially constrained by pseudoscience excuses.

I highly doubt this will sit vacant!!! Sorry about your view but that is life in the big city.
Re: West Lake Apartments - 3012 Excelsior Blvd
The post is an obvious troll... But, imagine buying a condo at the loop thinking you'd have lake views in perpetuity. LOL

Re: West Lake Apartments - 3012 Excelsior Blvd
Actually looking at a map, this doesn't even block the Loop at all. So assuming this completely real person is in the (overpriced and vacant?) Foundry building, maybe its time for an upgrade? This building might have some actual lake view units!

The NIMBY's have entered the chat with (checks post history): 1 post.
I felt like the yellow and green awning of the BP really classed up the area. RIP
