Re: Peavey Plaza
Thanks, sorry for the overreaction...oh yes, I am always defending this and other projects. It just gets more difficult to do so over time. At least now we can see real progress! Hopefully we will start to hear more announcements for tenants as construction is past the hump, and hopefully this poure...

Re: Peavey Plaza
That was rude, snarky and uncalled for. 2 years from completion actually, and it's looked like trash for years (and will look even worse for the year of construction). I have as much civic pride or more as anyone here...but walking around downtown lately honestly changes my mood to depressed real qu...

Re: Peavey Plaza
Thanks! I figured it was buried in there somewhere, thank you for finding. So far away. Sometimes it feels like we are never going to have nice things again.

Re: Downtown Minneapolis Retail News
It looks like Nordstrom Rack is walling off most of the windows...hopefully they will have lots of displays. I was hoping the storefront would be more transparent. Also, it always makes me irrationally angry that Banana republic has no signage/display at all on their windows facing Nicollet. They us...

Re: Maverick - 100 Hennepin Avenue S
There was an article about it...has been discussed. Someone here had mentioned it might be a "reserve", but the article confirmed that it would not...just a standard Starbucks.

Re: Uptown General Topics & Development Map
Does anyone remember what is going in at the NE corner of Henn and 35th? I think it was to be a small commercial building? Maybe it is something else now? Either way, the old (in very poor shape) house is now gone. This is actually on my block...but I don't know if it is a house or commercial going ...

This replaces the two single story retail buildings on the NE corner of 32 and Henn?

So I take it this did not end up getting resolved on the 20th?

Re: 10th & Marquette Handicraft Building Development
I don't really care for it either...it tears down one of the few remaining nice old buildings over there....that had active retail...and replaces it with no retail, and a somewhat dead streetscape.

They aren't missing too much patio time. Brits missed last summer, but they have their roof, and I think Dakota did too. News Room, Barrio, Zelo, and Mc Cormick's were all able to have the patio out pretty much the whole summer last year. Granted, not as pleasant as usual.

Though, they took up such a tiny space at the corner...making the retail space in from the corner more undesirable. I thought they'd use more of that! Glad to see it though.

yeah, I always think a full cap, maybe with a bit of the columbus one mixed with green space. Imagine the development potential.

Oh, wait...another one? Side note...between lasalle and 1st would be the perfect place for a freeway cap.
