Are people actually going to congregate outside of Cup Foods to pay tribute to George Floyd? This seems like such an odd memorial.

Re: Minneapolis & St. Paul Fantasies and Speculations
Short of a new Gateway Arch in the Commons, another signature restaurant near Gold Medal Park and something interactive at Block E would go a long way.
The new Vikings’ museum is actually really well done and would have been a welcome addition by the stadium, but I get why they stuck it in Eagan ...

Re: Minneapolis & St. Paul Fantasies and Speculations
I mentioned this in the St. Paul thread, but downtown Minneapolis really doesn’t have anything “to do” besides attending events.
Downtown St. Louis is perhaps more barren. They’ve got at least one good museum but fewer restaurants etc. Yet when it comes to tourism, it’s a lot easier to anchor a ...

Re: Xcel Energy Center
My Minneapolis bias skews me to preferring investment in Minneapolis instead, but St. Paul has a good setup for hosting events and adding a big hotel here might actually make a lot of sense.

Re: Riverview Corridor Not Streetcar
aBRT is needlessly technical and confusing. Why is the 'a' lowercase? Why is there an 'a' at all? Does that make it different than BRT?
They should just call it Super Bus or something.

I honestly think the public might be more supportive of aBRT if it was called anything but aBRT.

Apparently the pieces for the new loon statue at the corner of Snelling and University arrived this week as well, so that should presumably be up soon. (Sorry I know that’s not a restaurant)

It’s worth nothing that there’s no indication anyone is actually looking into the South Loop for a new NBA arena. It’s almost impossible to imagine that happening without Bloomington offering what would surely be a massive (and massively unpopular) subsidy.

This is beside the point, but if Walz wins doesn't he have to be considered a pretty legitimate option for presidential candidate?

Re: Making Transit More Feasible/Less Intimidating for New Riders
I took my son to the Twins game last Friday, and around 10:45 pm — mid Flo-Rida concert! — I checked the Metro Transit website to see the next Green Line out was at 11:19 pm. After that it was like an hour. So we made our way over to the platform around 11 pm, nice and early. The train finally ...
