Re: U.S. Bank Stadium Construction Updates
The seats I found were a little snug for my large frame, but they do their job. I also happened to like how they're not bolted to the bowl, but through steel rails. Still they make me wonder how they'll fare when 70,000 seats are needed for Super Bowl LII. I'm not sure what there is to like about t...

Re: U.S. Bank Stadium Construction Updates
yea the logistics weren't great. had everyone lining up for the metal detectors and then once inside you hit a choke point as they didn't allow people to just roam the concourse. they funneled everyone up to the top level...creating log jam at escalators that weren't working. then another choke poin...

Re: The Commons - Downtown East Park
how large is this "great lawn" in the commons park? nothing like that in mears park. mostly hard surface there. granted there isn't a fake stream that isn't working half the time, but...The most pavement/pavers I've ever seen in a park. They should've checked out Mears park in stp...

Re: U.S. Bank Stadium Construction Updates
it would only happen "a lot" if people who want to throw a rock are dumb enough to think every move they make isn't being recorded on cameras. but yea i can see idiots doing this again. the rocks are right there. walking around the exterior i'd hate to slip and fall on all those jagged roc...

Re: The Commons - Downtown East Park
it's a permeable surface... softer. they had a kids climbing thing on one of these areas. there's also apparently an area on the 5th st side to let your dog do his/her business.

Re: U.S. Bank Stadium Construction Updates
What's yours? Oh I thought it was pretty clear. Comparing home construction to the US Bank Stadium is silly. Like comparing an inflatable snowman to the Metrodome's inflatable roof. Didn't think I had to spell that one out but sorry for making it too complicated. it was just a joke dude I realize i...

Re: Westminster Church
non-descript stunted 80's glass box torn down for refined building and garden spaces fronting our busiest pedestrian street. it's a win and no loss.

Re: U.S. Bank Stadium Construction Updates
the storm from two nights ago was not "routine". we had to have had gusts over 50 mph in south mpls. but then again my vinyl siding didn't come loose.

Re: Stadium Parking Ramp Development Site
the proposal from two years ago for this site was a superior building. 10 floors higher but is was a glass box with accents. this update is just an extension of the wells fargo wall.

Re: Counties Transit Improvement Board (CTIB)
then how can we say we have a regional system if these counties just drop out. so yes, it has or is dying. the lack of comprehensive funding mechanism is killing transit planning here. this counties board was a band aid I agree. it doesn't have the dollars or overall power to operate fully independe...

"chances of a transportation breakthrough" fading at the state legistlature...shocking. this is such a pathetic state government.

Re: Southwest LRT (Green Line Extension)
if there is no statutory reason then why is this is even an issue at the state capitol? why is the speaker of the house openly mocking funding transit? CTIB should just write a check if it's that's easy. but sadly it isn't that easy. we have to lurch from line to line with no long term funding in pl...

Re: Southwest LRT (Green Line Extension)
that's optimistic of you. we should be past the point of trying to cobble together local match dollars. but seriously, look at the multiple lines being built or close to construction in our peer cities. than look at our metro, held hostage by people representing small towns and farm land.

Re: Southwest LRT (Green Line Extension)
line isn't happening. DFL had two sessions of complete control of both houses in last half decade and chose to put off more dedicated transit funding for another session. that decision is paying off now isn't it. I have zero regard for whining from transit advocates and like minded DFLers. the house...

this threat is such a bitch fest. we're getting two narrowed streets, wide sidewalks, a nice park space.
arches are ugly eh? local artist designed them. i think the're nice. guess everybody's a critic.

I was wondering when the salty ones would come out and trash this. This board...man.If news comes out that doesn't 100% validate your life choices it must be wrong and the source is a POS, the groupthink can never be wrong. Every. single. time. Here's a newsflash for y'all: everything is not all hu...

Re: Downtown Minneapolis Restaurant News
what a pathetic hit piece. and of course it contains the now mandatory blurb about receiving a phone call from chris coleman. does this dude "the mayor" just sit by his computer waiting for something to happen in Minneapolis...it's sorta weird. yea guy mpls just doesn't give a shit about y...
