Re: Green Line (Central Corridor LRT)
On that note, does anyone know why its taking such a long time to upgrade all the destination signs? Did they only budget one man-hour a week to the project or what? I would presume it's to be done in their "free time" when they aren't making critical repairs. For reference, I had to take...

Re: Farmers Market Soccer Stadium
How would that work, exactly? From what I've read, the tax is scheduled to expire in 2037, but the increased tax revenue may speed that up by 5 to 10 years. That means that Target Field bond payments will still consume the ballpark tax until 2027 at the earliest - still 13 years or more away. I bel...

Re: Maurices HQ Building - Duluth
I tried looking for one and couldn't find it. I apologize for not snapping a few pics of this over the weekend. It seems like they haven't made much progress on the eastern side since twincitizen's August pics. I rarely pay attention to outstate stuff, but might a little more now. I'm disappointed ...

Re: Farmers Market Soccer Stadium
i wish MLS played their season at the same time as the european leagues. roughly sept to april/may. obviously that would require a roofed stadium here. so it's beneficial for a potential team here that they play a schedule starting in march. 8 acres is enough for a simple soccer facility, similar t...

Re: Hampton Inn & Suites - (19 8th Street North)
One morning earlier this week I talked to a Mortenson guy as I walked by. We were both marveling at the sections of scaffolding coming down. I said it would be great if the skyway opened earlier than expected... He said it won't be open until April. I keep hoping he is wrong. I park in Ramp A and w...

Stadium Parking Ramp Air Rights Development
Okay but they're I shaped beams in the ground. I was taught that they were just called that. I'm sorry that I don't have more construction experience to tell you exactly what they are but you figured it out right away so who cares? I let you know what was going on at the site so you're welcome. She...

Re: Mall of America - Bloomington
https://i.imgur.com/6wGa3OG.jpg?1 Considering there are at least 9 (6 existing, one currently being built and 2 proposed hotels within Zone B), I think there's certainly some leeway on this land being used for hospitality. If exclusions can be made, who's the granting entity? In my brief reading th...

Re: Mall of America - Bloomington
Grant, Rwy 17/35 opened in 2005. And Met Stadium was where the MOA is now, not this parcel east of 28th Ave which is off the end of the 17/35 Runway Protection Zone. Zone B uses are restricted as follows: Each use must be on a site whose area is not less than 3 acres. Each use must not create, attr...

Re: Public Transit News and Happenings
It states the riders are coming from 28 NW cities. Is this due to the recent unreliable nature of NorthStar?"Maple Grove Transit works to address overcrowding [having to stand] on Route 785"

Looks like the intersection people are always pulling illegal u-turns.Westbound train I was on hit a car on Washington right before campus this afternoon! Caused about a 15 minute delay, seems like the car bore the brunt of it!

http://extras.mnginteractive.com/live/media/site569/2013/0423/20130423__saints%20stadium%20day%20rendering.jpg Sometime along the way they shortened the suite level along the 3rd base line. I would venture to guess it was a cost saving measure. http://lowertownballpark.com/live-webcam/ Also on the ...

Re: Riverview Corridor
One big reason for the funky Blue-Green junction is the inclusion of a "pocket track" for staging an extra train. They included it in the junction rather than having an extra siding or spur nearby. It was probably overkill since the Franklin Avenue maintenance base is so close. The Lowert...

Re: Minnesota Multi Purpose Stadium
They added a boom to a crane already on site.I just noticed on the webcam there's a large red crawler crane on the east end of the stadium. It looks like a 3/4 version of the giant yellow crane. Didn't know that was coming!
