Re: Blue Line (Hiawatha LRT)
Can anyone explain how the 84 connects to the 46h St Station? My wife got a job that she can take either the 46 or the 84 to, from the 46th st Station, but I can't make heads or tails of the map to figure out which 84 gets her back to the LRT. She just ended up at Snelling and University, which is ...

http://www.twincities.com/vikings/ci_26387222/vikings-stadium-authority-have-agreement-run-mls-franchise?source=rss So this doesn't look like it will be happening at least anytime in the next few years. The agreement between the vikings and the stadium authority doesn't really change anything. It j...

Re: Highland Park Target Express
I did, but I have heard potentially otherwise. Maybe it's a third location they're scouting.Um... Did you read the article or even my post up a few in this thread? The Target Express is going into the Barnes & Noble.

Re: Farmers Market Soccer Stadium
If the team paid for the stadium, they would most likely use it as a practice facility as well. No sense spending extra cash renting another location 3-4 times a week. Yes, a soccer team would only have 18-20 home pages during the season, but the stadium would most likely be chosen over the new Vik...

The Farmer's Market site could serve as a venue to expand the Basilica Block Party and a possible venue to move Soundset back into the city.

Re: Farmers Market Soccer Stadium
If I’m counting correctly, there are 14 soccer-specific MLS stadiums, and only 3 are located near a downtown, and all of those required fairly significant public contributions in order to be built. An entirely private, downtown, soccer-specific stadium would be unprecedented. My guess is you'll see...

Re: Green Line (Central Corridor LRT)
they need to find some funds in the couch cushions and make downtown east a center island station already. it's beyond ridiculous making all of these people cross the tracks to the other side to transfer lines. it's po dunk small town stupidity. saturday, coming back from the soccer match was just ...

Farmers Market Soccer Stadium
http://kstp.com/news/stories/S3522298.shtml?cat=1 Previously, Bagley has made it clear the Vikings think their new stadium is the place for an MLS team, but sources say McGuire and Pohlad want to build an outdoor soccer stadium next to Target Field in what's known as the farmer's market site. It wou...

Re: Green Line (Central Corridor LRT)
HuskyGrad, do you know why the train stops at the pedestrian crossing a block west of the Fairview station and blows its horn twice before proceeding to the station? I'd assume the neighbors asked for this because of the large number of disabled folks that live in this area, but was wondering if th...

Putting together the Big Crane. The white and green steel in your photo is all structural steel for the stadium. The Big Crane (that's yellow & can move) is in the background, correct ? I believe the green steel will be temporary supporting structure while they erect the structure. Sent from my...

Re: Type II LRVs - Siemens S70
The idea would be to have 2 long-car trains that take up the same amount of space as our current 3-car trains, but have less wasted space on cabs and couplings The current operations and maintenance facilities are set up to accommodate the current LRV length. Any change in length would require sign...

Re: Southwest LRT (Green Line Extension)
This may have been talked about previously... I didn't read all 126 pages of this thread. Re: Minnesota Multi Purpose Stadium
Is this picture part of the crane or the main steel support beam??? https://twitter.com/vikings/status/483736815384272896 The wording makes it sound like that is the beginning of the crane. Really???? Is the beginning of the structural framing. The crane has a structure that has tubular members. Se...
