Re: George Floyd murder and aftermath
Can someone explain why they don’t just keep it as a roundabout? Is there also hope to preserve the art on the street itself?

Re: Pedestrian Safety and Infrastructure Improvements
I hear you on the east west streets. I forgot about those.Maybe, but I just remember people flying down 22nd and (to a lesser extent) 25th, and those are two-way.I live there now and I wonder if most of the speeding is due to many of the streets being one way.

Re: U.S. Bank Stadium
I am surprised that Dallas/Ft Worth have only hosted once. Currently I think our stadium, Atlanta's new one are the 2 best stadiums in the country. The new Chargers stadium in LA will be the best though when finished. Just beautiful. Vegas has got to be the ugliest of the newest built. If you put a...

George Floyd murder and aftermath
Definitely a difficult time. How is everyone doing today? I’m sad, angry, frustrated, and emotionally exhausted. Doing my best to balance being ally and taking care of myself. Moderator note: I combined discussion from various topics into this one. I do want to direct folks to this post by Didier be...

Re: Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board
That’s interesting you say that because I had a different initial thought. I would think that having it be two way actually slows traffic down and gives it a more parkway feel. I hear what you are saying though

Re: Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board
At least for downtown, there are a couple buildings near the stone arch bridge who have their garage access via west river road. I get the 100 feet of road open for them from Portland to the lot entrance. (Full disclosure my parents live in one of the buildings). That being said I don’t know why the...

Re: Nicollet-Central Streetcar
I agree with Cincinnati, Dallas, Tucson, and Atlanta, but I was under the impression that the KC Streetcar was a success. Based on the wikipedia link you gave, it has a higher average daily boardings per mile than a lot of LRT systems. That being said, I am comparing them to other systems on that li...

Re: Eleven - 1111 West River Parkway - 41 stories / 550'
Is there anyway to confirm that people are buying these units to live in as opposed to money storage. While I don’t think this is necessarily that case, it’s still a concern in the back of my mind.

Re: Northside - General Topics
I’m not really feeling the huge parking lot behind the building. That being said, I do appreciate that it is behind the building at least, and adjacent to railroad tracks.
