I agree the MIA overfilled their block. Having a satellite location in this high visibility site for other collections would be really nice!

Re: Housing Market/Economics - General Topics

The housing shortage is getting people on both ends of the aisle to get fed up with year over year delays with building.

Re: 2025-2026 Minnesota Legislature

Great point about the own-goal of allowing the non-resident to run in a district he did not reside in. Even after that already blew up against the GOP not long ago! Stupid and is a blemish against the head of the DFL to run the national Democratic Party.

Re: 2025-2026 Minnesota Legislature

The GOP has opted to demonstrate that they were never interested in bipartisanship last session in the name of pure bipartisanship for the state’s voters.

The DFL was right to distrust house GOP back then nor going forward.

Can senate GOP rein them in? Or are they cheering it on?

Re: 2025-2026 Minnesota Legislature

I read an analysis that if the legislature does not convene no budget is generated for the government this next year, and state operations are not automated so it shuts down when no budget is proposed.

Re: Green Line Extension - Southwest LRT

And as Anondson mentioned there’s the hospital. From what I’ve seen it looks like they have a shuttle service between some outlying parking lots and the hospital, so I would hope they’d extend that shuttle the short distance to the station.

I remember seeing commute purpose diagrams for each ...

The Louisiana station area is pretty difficult with extremely high water table, and superfund sites all over.

Re: Public Transit News / Current Events (MN only)

Yeah, disappointed at that framing, though there is a seed of a point. And that is that there are layers and layers of different governments that could coordinate better but what they do is just coming across as chaos.

In the Blake Road example, the county rebuilt Blake Road, then MNDOT rebuilt the ...
