Re: Federal Reserve Riverfront Parking Ramp
I parked in that ramp across the street last night for a pretty big event at Aria, tons of room, I have no idea what Eric Dayton is going on about with any kind of parking crunch in that area that a new ramp would help with.

Carol lives in Longfellow, she gives her exact address on her campaign website so it's not exactly a secret.

HPC recommends denial - http://www.minneapolismn.gov/www/groups/public/@cped/documents/webcontent/wcmsp-217289.pdf To be clear, this is a staff report for HPC, so staff is recommending denial of the Certificate of Appropriateness, which is the only decision before the HPC. Last time HPC saw the pro...

I've used it a few times, you connect with someone in the dispatch center I think, they seem to be in direct communication with officer dispatch based on the few times I've used it.

Re: The Amp House (3255 Garfield)
Yes that's certainly possible, the same way that I could win the Powerball jackpot tomorrow despite not having a ticket and the drawing not being until Wednesday. Or the neighborhood association is demonstrating its limited knowledge of land use approvals and why they shouldn't have any involvement ...

Re: The Amp House (3255 Garfield)
Yes, license hearings seem to happen "out there" but have you ever heard of an official land use hearing that isn't at the CPC meeting?

Re: The Amp House (3255 Garfield)
It's absolutely not a public hearing. There are no land use public hearings that happen in the neighborhood. This is most likely the developer coming to the neighborhood organization asking for a letter of support for their actual public hearing. And yes let's absolutely keep shoveling public money ...

Re: The Amp House (3255 Garfield)
The legal hearing would be before the planning commission, not at a neighborhood org meeting. This is probably just the developer coming to you for support.

Re: RE: Re: Minnesota Governor Election 2018
His budget also calls for a 1/8th cent addition to the metro transit tax and (maybe most significantly) a shifting of Metro Mobility off Metro Transit's books. That's where the transit money is in this proposal, and it's significant. I don't know how Metro Mobility factors in, but 1/8 cent for tran...

Re: The Amp House (3255 Garfield)
I know some licensing hearings are done not in City Hall, but those aren't for land use approvals. So I'm kinda confused what this is about.

Uh, that would be a planning commission thing. Is this just them coming to the neighborhood asking for support?

The plans say tunnel removal but conditions of approval say CPED wants them to retain the tunnel. When they came to the Midtown Greenway Coalition they were open to the idea of preserving the tunnel opening and using it as a Greenway access point for the property.

So I'm trying to figure out some stuff here, especially related to the (now former) Hennepin County land, located at 3421 Lake St W, with Property ID 0502824210243. I've been able to find a preliminary record of sale with the state : https://finance-commerce.com/files/2019/01/Towers-Bader-CRV.pdf ht...

Re: Downtown Minneapolis General Topics & Development Map
The Upper Midwest of the MS society has left their location in the mill district at 200 12th Ave. S (to 2829 University Ave SE) so this building is now empty. The property including parking lot is about .75 acre, but a bit under 3/4 of the block is a building the UofM appears to be leasing (Univers...

I think this is accurate for Calhoun Square:
https://denisonparking.com/calhoun-square-mn/
It's missing rates for more than an hour but less than 3 hours, but I think for under 2 hours it's $6, based on my transaction history.

Re: Northstar Commuter Rail
What's the EPA Tier standard for Northstar's locomotives? They're definitely not Tier 4, but according to the Wikipedia article on this type of locomotive they can be rebuilt to meet Tier 4 standards. I'm sure it's not a high priority, but I wonder if this is something Metro Transit would look into...

I think it has neighborhood specific forums that are very rarely used (I bet NextDoor has taken the wind out of their sales on that front) but the real Cesspool is the Minneapolis Issues forum.
