Re: Green Line (Central Corridor LRT)
This seems to be quickly turning into a green line complaints thread. We are all transit advocates here and many of us have been attending planning meetings since 2006 - you will find my name in the official project comments for as far back as there were comments. We are the line's advocates. these...

Re: Rumors!
You can't be rude to people and just expect them to take it and continue to be happy to contribute. There's no reason that this forum couldn't be more welcoming. We collectively choose to let it be what it is. Instead of condemning rude/harshly snarky behavior, we blame the victim for not just sucki...

Re: Rumors!
Maybe, just maybe the idea of sharing even tidbits of confidential information with an increasingly high-profile forum such as this one isn't worth the potential risk. There are hundreds of millions of dollars riding on these proposals, especially the "super tall" ones that would play in ...

Re: Current & Proposed Downtown Minneapolis Projects
I objected to this being floated as the reason we don't know about more upcoming projects, when it's obvious that even if we did nothing but shower "the ballers" with unquestioning thanks, we still wouldn't know the details because of strict confidentiality The attitude you are showing he...

Re: Current & Proposed Downtown Minneapolis Projects
Are you kidding? Why would you help people that are continually nothing but assholes to you? And so he stops, and now it's "Oh, he stopped talking to us because we're assholes? He must not've been credible." That stance doesn't even make sense, does it? And, seriously, some of the comment...

Re: Superior Plating site
We recently talked to a contractor about re-siding our house. Hardie Board is quiet a bit more expensive than cedar because of the labor. It takes a lot more work to install, it's heavier, etc. I wonder if the same is true for stick vs. concrete. Seems a bit odd to me, but maybe you only need one g...

So like 179 dozen? There are something like 2157 riders per day, (or at least there were in 2013). Though a small number compared to the total commuters in the twin cities, it's still quite a few people.Wow, there's going to be, like, dozens of angry would-be commuters today...

Sounds like he would have, but was offended by all the anti rumor sentiment.Too bad RetiredBanker never revealed whatever it is he wanted to reveal about 2 months ago now, otherwise we may know some of this is imminent.

Re: Green Line (Central Corridor LRT)
More grasping at straws by MPR this morning. Counting how many times drivers hit the e-brake during training runs, and adding drama. So glad I stopped giving them money. TPT needs it more anyways. There's nothing negative about that story. They are reporting facts. Facts that generally show that th...

Re: Green Line (Central Corridor LRT)
Wouldn't acceleration/deceleration be the same for 1, 2, 3, or N car trains, since each car accelerates and decelerates itself? It could be a limit of the amount of current that the overhead lines can supply. (i'm sure there would be a limit at some point) But I'm not sure that there would be an is...

That's their service location. The last I heard (which was quite a while ago), they wanted to open a store in the MoA but the dealers association was trying to block it. Edit: Actually, it's listed as both, but I wouldn't be surprised if that's because they don't yet have the retail store that they ...
