Coze Flats - (628 University Ave SE)

Yet another apartment building. A small house currently sits on this site. From the CoW:
http://www.minneapolismn.gov/www/groups ... 104915.pdf

EDIT: 39 units, 4 stories. Nice to finally see some smaller-scale projects taking shape.

Re: The Interchange (At Target Field)

According to their report, increasing capacity requires a 32K foot addition. It sounds like it will also house snow melting equipment for The Interchange's plaza.

Re: Lowertown Depot

Maybe it would work as an educational site related to the nature preserve? It might work out okay as a field trip destination, but I'm not sure it offers any more than other venues around the metro. That was my first thought. Can't see how it would be useful for much else, unless St. Paul wanted to...

@mattaudio: Why do you even bother trying to talk sense into STrib commenters? (And why do I bother reading them?) Doesn't your forehead hurt from bouncing off your desk?
The saddest part of this is that ST comments are WAY more intelligent than those on most other local news sites.

I love that they were actually able to quote someone saying, "I don't like new stuff." Wow. Great piece, though!

Re: House of Hanson Site (14th Avenue SE & 5th Street SE)

Also, as a mini-rant after reading all that, where were all these NIMBYs when they tore down the Oak Street Cinema? THAT was a real part of campus heritage we lost, and nobody blinked. This just seems to me like some small business owners living in a low-rent fantasyland who don't want anything to c...

Pretty amazing that a ten part series on Dinkytown doesn't manage to interview anyone under age 50 (as far as I could work out) http://www.tcdailyplanet.net/news/2013/02/12/development-dinkytown-part-1-there-s-nice-vibe-it-d-be-easy-mess They do briefly interview the student member of the neighborh...

What's up with the lot across the street? Seems like a great parcel for development.
The one across Lake, Girard, or Lagoon? Haha.

Re: StoneBridge (2nd Street South & 11th Avenue South)

I don't know if Stanton owns it through the bank, but 21st Century Bank and Dolphin Staffing (the two companies in that funny 50's building just up Washington from the site) own all of the parcels that would have been Eclipse, according to Hennepin County property taxes.

Western Container Building/Arctic Cat HQ - 500 3rd Street N

The first potential new condo project in the North Loop since the recession! Behind a paywall, so not a ton of information yet: http://finance-commerce.com/2013/02/boutique-condo-plan-floated-in-north-loop/ The building is located at the corner of N 3rd St and 5th Ave N. I am unsure whether it is oc...
