According to their report, increasing capacity requires a 32K foot addition. It sounds like it will also house snow melting equipment for The Interchange's plaza.

This is on the planning commission agenda for the 4th. Looks like it'll be fully approved.

Maybe it would work as an educational site related to the nature preserve? It might work out okay as a field trip destination, but I'm not sure it offers any more than other venues around the metro. That was my first thought. Can't see how it would be useful for much else, unless St. Paul wanted to...

The saddest part of this is that ST comments are WAY more intelligent than those on most other local news sites.

The only ones I can think of are Smitten Kitten and Venus Unveiled, both of which have been in Lyn-Lake for years.

I don't know if Stanton owns it through the bank, but 21st Century Bank and Dolphin Staffing (the two companies in that funny 50's building just up Washington from the site) own all of the parcels that would have been Eclipse, according to Hennepin County property taxes.
