Re: Pentagon Park (Hwy 100 & Industrial Blvd) - Edina
As a tenant I'm happy to see the changes to the branding, buildings, and landscaping. They've already gutted two of the bathrooms in my building, and are supposedly adding bike storage with showers in one of the buildings. As for the parking lots and curbs, they sent out a memo about adding new land...

Re: Pentagon Park (Hwy 100 & Industrial Blvd) - Edina
The website for the existing office buildings is up now too: http://www.pentagonpark.com/ Renovations for the 4620 and 4550 building are currently underway, they're updating some parts of the other renovated buildings, and are planning new outdoor landscaped areas. The northern office buildings are ...

Re: Pentagon Park (Hwy 100 & Industrial Blvd) - Edina
The apartment component of this redevelopment is dead. They're going to move forward with renovations on the four not renovated buildings now and the entire northern parcel is going to stay office space for the foreseeable future, according to my landlord. The city council denied final approvals. ht...

Re: Demolition of West Publishing / old jail
It's interesting how image of the buildings in the Star Tribune article doesn't have the spire that was in the Biz Journal one.

Re: Pentagon Park (Hwy 100 & Industrial Blvd) - Edina
Although it may not be perfect I’m a fan of this development and think it will be a big win for the city. The city gets parking and a relocated access road for the new park. It also brings a significant amount of people into the area that currently is devoid of people outside of office hours. I am s...

Re: Pentagon Park (Hwy 100 & Industrial Blvd) - Edina
I'm not looking to get into an argument over the merits of this development, I'm just here adding insight from what I've been told by my landlord (Pentagon Revival LLC). They're at a break even on the investment now, and would actually make more money over the next ten years leasing out a fully reno...

Re: Pentagon Park (Hwy 100 & Industrial Blvd) - Edina
MNdible, it was exactly that. Pentagon Revival LLC had actually made their money back for the entire site with the sale of the southern parcel to the other developer. This wasn't put forward publicly but their plan B, if the apartments didn't go through, was to renovate the last four office building...

Re: Pentagon Park (Hwy 100 & Industrial Blvd) - Edina
This kind off flew under the radar the other week because it's buried in the West Metro Briefs. The City has approved the redevelopment of the southern parcel, with two hotels in phase one and two office buildings plus retail in phase two. http://www.startribune.com/west-metro-briefs-st-louis-park-p...

Re: Southdale Area Development - Edina
We only found out about it last week because my boss got freaked out by three real estate brokers contacting us in a week saying the sky was falling. We met with our current leasing agent where he laid their plan out and helped smooth everything over. Also, according to him the Allina plan is pretty...

Re: Southdale Area Development - Edina
I mostly lurk on this site but I have some insight into the Pentagon Park office redevelopment because I'm a tenant in the 4600 building (the western most refurbished building). Hillcrest has two redevelopments by two development partners in the pipeline currently. Office, hotel, and maybe a small a...

Re: Pentagon Park (Hwy 100 & Industrial Blvd) - Edina
I work in the part of Pentagon Park that didn't get torn down and it looks like nothing will be happening soon. There is a daycare with a long term lease located on the main land, I heard from one of their neighbors they have at least a year left on their lease. Hillcrest hasn't even submitted plans...

Re: Pentagon Park (Hwy 100 & Industrial Blvd) - Edina
I thought I'd provide my info about the development. My office used to be in one of the buildings around the tower and we moved into the renovated part of Pentagon Park that's not being redeveloped yet. The developers are trying to get everybody out of there rapidly because they are trying to fast t...

Re: Mall of America - Bloomington
I have a feeling they removed the crosswalks so that pedestrian traffic will go through the new expansion. They could have at least put up temporary ones while it's being built since it will be a while before it's completed.

Re: Mall of America - Bloomington
I was out there last monday and noticed a lot of the brass from the West Market had been removed. Looks like they're starting an $11 million renovation and bringing it in line with the newer renovated sections.
