Re: LPM Apartments - (376' - 36 Stories)
I live on the 20th floor of a building a couple blocks to the south--you can see that the units are physically empty, I'm not just counting lights at night. Oh I totally believe that. Just saying that having that having the lights on for empty apartments/hotel rooms/offices/whatever isn't uncommon....

Re: Green Line (Central Corridor LRT)
Also totally unrelated but I just have to say I hate Hate HATE the current Green/Blue transfer at DTE. Coming from the South on the Blue line and going East on the Green Line in the morning, and the opposite in the evening, I make the same platform movements. Every morning I get off on the West/Nor...

Re: LPM Apartments - (376' - 36 Stories)
I don't get why people keep saying this as if it's uncommon, though. Hotels, apartment buildings, and even office buildings do this for various reasons...They turn the lights on to make it look more occupied. Insider info.

I saw it coming, sure, but I'm slightly disappointed.

Re: The Commons - Downtown East Park
It isn't being at all, but it's also not part of the park property. They can't really make plans for a block they don't control. I know, just following up on the question I asked previously. Plus, it's included in literally every illustration of The Commons/WF/Vikings Stadium as part of the park, s...

Re: The Commons - Downtown East Park
Four concepts presented to the public. So far, looks like the LRT block really isn't being considered.

Oh god, I just assumed those were closed blinds or opaque glass, not solid panels. Ugh... not so sexy looking.

[You know who works hard? Someone who's washing dishes at two restaurants for minimum wage 29 hours a week each, and those are generally not the people we're talking about here. We're not? Those are the kinds of families that hold down 3-4 jobs. When looking at amenities people have, context matter...

Re: Public Transit News and Happenings
This decision screams "consultant work" or "market research." Then when there were results/suggestions no one spoke up and said "No, that is a bad idea. Good for sports teams, bad for transportation." I imagine "T" will be short lived. I mean it seems to be a...

Never has a city game emphasized traffic this much. And I love it.
FYI for other players - pathfinding still needs some improvements and the devs are already promising patches soon. They've been very transparent and open so far, small team, no big publisher overlords.

I've been listening to Modest Mouse since... Ah, shit, middle school, I think? So I'll have to go, even if it's blasé to most of you.
I don't think it's a bad lineup at all, but hey, music tastes vary even more than architectural, right?

Anyone on steam, my ID is walkingsnake if you'd like a friend.
I'll likely be playing around with modding the game and putting up Workshop files at some point. I was way too huge into this stuff during the SC4 days, I can see myself doing it all over again.

Re: Minneapolis - St. Paul Business News
It's quite sad to see how fast Target's image problem developed. Their heyday may have been in the 90s, and in the 00s they were still known for chic, but now they are just seen as a headache. I feel dirty and annoyed and tired going to Target, and I'm sure I'm not unique in that. Can you elaborate...

^In regards to Weber Shandwick, they're owned by the same advertising holding company that Mithun (formerly Campbell Mithun) is, so I recall that being one of the reasons they moved (or at least something they mentioned). Exactly right. Same reason Omnicom is moving their owned Minneapolis agencies...

Re: 510 Marquette Avenue
Here's an update on this thing, it seems like it's been in slow development forever. Looks like they finally installed the last set of ground floor windows, finally getting rid of the overhanging podium that used to exist. https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-LgJi2wUYC_M/VPhukc-eTVI/AAAAAAAAECw/D7GyS8...
