There was some preliminary study of a 394 BRT line in the Highway Transitway Corridor Study (2014) https://metrocouncil.org/Transportation ... Study.aspx It actually rated well in the study.

Re: Public Transit News / Current Events (MN only)
I wasn't totally sure where was the best place to post this. Mods feel free to move if there's a better spot. Ramsey County is leading a Blue Line/Riverview Connection study. This is making short, medium, and long term transit recommendations for the area. The project already had an open house in Ma...

The timing is somewhat unfortunate, as we are currently removing the E. 7th/White Bear aBRT from our official plan (mostly an issue for the Arcade stretch, as E. 7th itself is also covered by the proposed Randolph line after the update). https://metrocouncil.org/Council-Meetings/Committees/Metropoli...

Re: Does Minneapolis have too many stoplights?
The traffic light on Cedar long predates the River-Lake Greenway. Back in the 90s when the route was initially planned they noted that 40th Street was selected in part because the bridge over 35W and the traffic light to cross Cedar already existed. The signal was modified ca. 2010 when the bike bou...

The routing they appear to be showing from Camp Douglas to Madison is interesting. If you look closely it's following quite a bit of former rail right of way that currently doesn't have any track. It looks like it would cover the space where the Omaha Trail https://www.co.juneau.wi.gov/trails.html i...

I'm fairly certain that building just houses the equipment for the cell tower and they designed it to look like an old station building.

Better yet, there ought to be an official app for the skyway system that includes a map like that, plus a directory of all current retail/restaurant businesses and their hours of operation. Anyone have Steve Cramer’s number? Because the Downtown Council / DID should absolutely spend their money on ...

Since this is through property I believe is owned by the seller, it looks like a term of the sale agreement to have the seller get approval for the extension through their property before the sale can finalize. Allows Hines to know they can have skyway access at some point through private property. ...

Re: Arterial Bus Rapid Transit Corridors
Is 38th Street eliminated or not? The map shows it as eliminated. The chart shows it as advancing. I would love this corridor to advance!
2nd St NE also shows a discrepancy. Text of the presentation states 11 not 13 corridors, so they're probably out.

The City has said that lowering the speed limits will guide designing future street reconstructions to achieve these lower speeds. Making the limit change drives policy for implementing better street designs.

Wells Fargo would be owner-occupied, so it's not counted in the vacancy rate for "competitive" buildings.
