Re: Street, Road and Highway Projects
We have a major lack of signage, lighting and general street paint in Minneapolis. I watch about 10-20 people drive on the 5th St tracks downtown a day, a fix would be a total of 12 bollards, 3 at each intersection, with arrows. Here's a story out today about the new lanes on Johnson. I wrote an ema...

Man, 3rd could be a good street for continued retail, restaurant use for the stadium and new density. Walk-up units and fitness rooms just take that away entirely.

Re: Federal Reserve Riverfront Parking Ramp
Gonna go ahead and call this a loss of quasi public space. Families take their kids there a lot to just have a wide open flat space to ride their bikes and such. I'd be fine with a building going here, with park space behind, but a security fence? The Fed better reverse this stuff once they have ne...

You know you're allowed to visit and benefit from George Floyd Square? Let's maybe not go full talk radio and compare it to a "no go zone"Some activists are trying to turn it into a George Floyd Square like area with only BiPOC and ADOS having control and benefiting from it.

So a friend of mine told me they were tearing Joyce Methodist Church down and putting up apartments. I'm kind of surprised, because last I heard they were turning the church into apartments. I can't find anything about it being torn down and replaced. Then again this person who told me is often liv...

There are about 10 different ways I could think of how they keep the mural accessible. My preferred method would be a set back with a green plaza with a few retail spaces wrapping along the space.

Looked into moving in there. I really don't see the appeal of living in the area until industry is more phased out. Definitely a big detriment on health and air quality there.

Re: Downtown Minneapolis Urban Planning
Speaking of Riverplace and by extension St. Anthony Main, I've gotta believe, with the success of The Phoenix and Mill & Main, it's only a matter of time before the complex is revitalized. Loved the good old days back in the mid 80s when both places were hopping. The area population should be about...

Re: Interstate 94
It's one or ther other in reality. We cap it and forget about it, while incudced demand still does its magic, or we remove it, and actually increase our tax revenue. I agree with the short term option of bus lanes, but if designed poorly, we could easily see low ridership lead to an argument for low...
