That looking better?I'd say, if possible, throw the ads above the breadcrumbs. Right now they get in the way of navigation a bit.

Re: New Users: Posting for the first time (& getting rid of
When I created the ad it said that it will take a while to while to tailor it to the site & users. Apparently I'm single, lonely, and live in an "Urban Jungle" . At least it picked up the word urban.Apparently Google AdSense thinks I need to get rid of ants and bed bugs...

Re: New Users: Posting for the first time (& getting rid of
Just absolutely nothing with sound, video, flash, moving pieces/pictures, etc. Just plain text based ads are totally acceptable, IMO. I'd rather shut the site down then put the automatic playing video/audio ads on here...don't worry those things drive me crazy. We'll throw in either a banner ad wit...

Re: Vikings Stadium
Lets address each other less, and what each other say more. No personal attacks, just tell someone that you strongly disagree with their idea. I agree that some opinions are stupid, but instead of saying that I prove it with facts/figures/arguments. This is one of our most popular/viewed threads, I'...

Re: New Users: Posting for the first time (& getting rid of
I'd like to see what kind of ads get targetted to us urban nerds anyway. I check in occasionally and recently it has been Olympics, ThriveMSP, anything with the word "Urban" in it, Urban planning schools in Florida, GIS software, and more. We're working on doing something along these line...

Re: Minnescraper Archive
Any way we could get an archive of the site brought over here? I'm not even sure how it would be technically possible. But it would be so nice since there's such a good archive of info at Minnescraper! I heard someone downloaded archives of the old site? I'm interested as to what format that is and...

Having problems with editing posts in interchange topic: http://urbanmsp.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=58&start=90 Also: when I entered my last post I was told 900px width was the limit? Other topics seem to work fine. I think that pictures with widths greater than 900 generally stretch the site...

Re: New bicycle RFID polls popping up
Update: All I found was an official "tweet" that said 5 new readers have been installed around Minneapolis and beta testing starts today. The UofM Bike Center followed up and said that those 5 readers count for UMN Zaps. Exciting news for those of us that use the program

New bicycle RFID polls popping up
The U has an RFID bike program up and running where students who bike to campus 8 times a month get a $10 gift card, and other bike gear, while staff can get money off their health insurance. I think there are something like 15 ZAP stations around the east/west banks and st. paul. This program is op...

Re: Current & Proposed Downtown Minneapolis Projects
Hi guys,
I've been incredibly busy and haven't gotten around to adding many sites to the calendar. If anyone is able to help out I would appreciate it! Otherwise I'll slowly work through all the additions/updates for the map. min-chi-cbus - thanks for the list!

You guys want to test this and let me know if this works? If not...let me know and I'll see how deep into the coding I can get to fix it.Click the pound sign to change pages.
I like the swipe idea...but definitely don't have the coding ability to do this.

New Users: Posting for the first time (& getting rid of Ads)
FYI for all new users, in order to avoid spam and other obnoxious posters we have implemented a policy of 1 approved post before you can post freely. You can submit as many as you want right off the bat and as soon as one is approve they will all be posted. We generally check a few times a day so it...

So we need to figure this spam thing out All registered users now must have ONE approved post before they can begin posting on the forums. Think we need more moderators in order to get these approved in a timely manner? You would think phpBB would have a feature that e-mails when things are awaitin...

What's up with your new avatar Lance? well my old avatar of a LRT train in front of the St. Paul Union Depot wouldn't work. the limitations are a bit more limiting than the old site. I attempted to re-size it several times, but what I was left with was something that didn't do the site justice. hah...

Re: Downtown Crime
In terms of response (opposed to prevention) this seems about as good as it gets. That seems like the last place I'd want to shoot someone. The 4 Wheeler the MPPD has is pretty cool, not something I'd want to be in a foot race with http://minnesota.cbslocal.com/2012/06/26/police-investigating-shoot...
