Re: The Once and Future Dayton's

I agree. I didn’t grow up in Minneapolis, but I lived there for 9 years. Now I’m in New York and I still follow Minnesota development. The Daytons really were good caretakers of culture and commerce for Minnesota. I hope this becomes a cultural tribute to the labors that name represents.

Re: 1500 Nicollet Avenue - Dominium Development - 6 stories / 184 units

I can tell you right now that the Nicollet dinner isn’t going anywhere any time soon. They also have the most consistent late nights in this entire area of town. I’ve worked there, I know the owners, and they’re expanding with the neighborhood wiThin their services. This restaurant isn’t going anywh...

Re: LPM Apartments - (376' - 36 Stories)

I have a source that tells that the leasing process for this building has been challenging to say the least. I honestly don't know how reliable this is, but the number 8% was floating around in the conversation. Anyone know if this is true? I honestly can't believe that this building is less than 10...

Re: Current & Proposed Downtown Minneapolis Projects

Well to be fair I was on 94, looking at that area. But I deliver food downtown and you'd be surprised how many people order food in that little area

Re: Current & Proposed Downtown Minneapolis Projects

I was driving today and saw trailers, and what looked to be the beginning of a construction site on the corner of 9th St S and 13th Ave s. Anyone know any info on this?

Re: Fargo/Moorhead

Many larger cities in the Dakotas along the red river valley don't build too far up because the soil can't handle supporting large structures. (Unless built to support it through costly investments in foundation work upon construction)

Re: Nicollet Mall

Is any one else confused by the rendering by Tom Leader Studio of Berkeley, Calif.? It looks like he's taken out Gaviidae, moved the Wells Fargo tower over to Nicollet where Gaviidae was, and removed the City Center.... that seems ambitious. http://youtu.be/2A71ETuTyxw Going for THE largest buildin...

Re: Alatus Apartment Tower - (301 Washington Avenue South)

Delivered pizza to an attendant at the lot today and asked if he knew anything about this project. He claimed that "the owner of the lot had no clue any of this was going on until it was published in the journal".
