Re: Gold Line BRT (Gateway Corridor)
How do we get the Gold Line to extend down 94 to Minneapolis, using the shiny new BRT stations on 7th/8th?

Re: Public Transit News / Current Events (MN only)
MVTA does a decent job, I think, but the other three don't run any fixed-route local service at all, do they?

Re: North Loop Neighborhood
3 golf bars in the North Loop seems kinda wild, assuming that one at Washington and Hennepin actually happens.

Re: Karmel Complex - Lake Street
The Star Tribune wrote a nice article about Sabri and the Karmel complex. The last paragraph mentions that he's purchased some land for a ten story(!) condo(!!) building "a short walk north".

Re: Public Transit News / Current Events (MN only)
Yeah, it puts them it closer to the eventual intercity trains at Target Field station as well. Hope Jefferson Lines/LTA Express eventually move too.

Yep, still crossing 7th/6th at grade. They're extremely committed to that flying junction plan, I guess.

Re: Blue Line Extension - Bottineau LRT
They'll consider a two-mile-long bridge to get across I-94, but grade separation anywhere along W. Broadway is right out?

Citation needed that any of the recent freeway expansions have been "badly needed".

Re: Green Line Extension - Southwest LRT
Everyone's always down on 21st St Station, but I think Bryn Mawr is what's really going to turn out to be SWLRT's equivalent of Bloomington Central Station. At least it's also the most expensive station on the line, with its elevator tower and 400' skyway over to a freeway interchange.

Re: UrbanMSP in the News
Minnescraper? My understanding is that Nick set UrbanMSP up as a replacement when that went down permanently, but I found my way here a couple months later, so I don't know.

Re: 200 Central (2019) - 293' / 27 Stories
The MHNA agenda is up, with a link to a collection of renderings that appear to be unchanged from the CPC presentation from two years ago. Apparently 20% of the units will be affordable at 60% AMI, and an additional 30% will be affordable at 80% AMI, which I think is new, though.

If I remember the twitter thread correctly, he was focusing on quick-serve/counter-serve restaurants. Hen House is still full table service, right?

Re: Public Transit News / Current Events (MN only)
I believe that's showing both the 17W and the 17 routing on the same map. The 17 does the 3rd St loop to get to/from its layover in the Gateway ramp, the W stays on Washington in both directions to get to/from the bridge. I hope.

Re: Public Transit News / Current Events (MN only)
A little frustrating that they're not currently considering removing stops on Central - this is the perfect time to change that up, no one even remembers where the stops were back in 2018 anyway. Guess that's what the comments are for, though.

Re: Amtrak: Empire Builder and Great River (TCMC)
I wonder if the name is an indication that they're serious about eventually extending it to St. Cloud or Fargo (or Winnipeg?). Maybe they think a "Twin Cities" name would be confusing if it keeps going past the metro?

Re: Northeast and Southeast Minneapolis - General Topics
Looks like an apartment building proposal for 1516 Marshall St NE (currently a dumpster service, across the street from Fletchers) was proposed at the Sheridan Neighborhood Org meeting last week, according to their minutes . - 184 units with 184 parking spots - Some kind of commerical space frontin...
