Re: Vote NO! & NO!
I have a lot of family in Seattle. If the Marriage Amendment passes here, and Same-Sex Marriage passes in Washington, I will have to think long and hard if Minnesota is the right place for me. I love Minnesota, and it certainly wouldn't be the only factor, but I want to live in a Progressive and Acc...

Re: Loring Park Apartments - (1368 LaSalle Avenue)
Well, that floor plan seems to confirm that "Loring Park Apartments" is a placeholder name.

Re: Vote NO! & NO!
Civil Unions are really an effort to create a status that is "separate, but equal" to marriage. To separate them makes them not equal. They would certainly be an improvement to the current situation, but the terminology itself casts doubt on the status. You may say it is all semantics, but...

Re: Vote NO! & NO!
Please correct me if I am wrong, but I feel as though this point is often missed: If we all do vote no, we are right back where we were...now/last week/a year ago. Nothing changes, correct? There may be political momentum in the pro-gay marriage camp, but that's about it, correct? Also, does someon...

Hey, now that warms my heart to see you say that. Thanks for taking the time to think about your position. ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif)

Re: ye-olde Ayd Mill
This thread should probably be move to the Transportation Forum. Good thing I am kind of a digital pack rat as far as saving files I come across on the internet. This is from sometime prior to 2005. A lot of this has already happened. Looks like it bridges over the tracks, and probably Selby, but th...

Re: ye-olde Ayd Mill
I suppose, but it isn't the only place it happens. Since they come together at such an acute angle, I don't think there is too much traffic between the two. The other obvious example is between SB I-35W and EB I-94, and vice-versa, although according to the plans in the thread about the Downtown Min...

Re: Orange Line (35W BRT)
Well, both the 23 and 46 are way less busy than the 21, but I believe the the 23 on 38th has a slightly higher ridership than the 46. It does have a longer span of service, anyway. I think a station at 38th would be nice, but not exactly critical. If they could do it for a reasonable cost when they ...

It also seems like having them all 2 floor units is kind of a waste of space, because of the stairs in each unit.

Re: MSP Airport
They are replacing the antiquated terminal at SLC, but I have heard nothing about it being the next "International Hub". They gave a shot at Tokyo a few years back, but it wasn't successful. Not sure where you got your info.

Re: MSP Airport
I hope they add Air France to the highway signs, too! I am pretty sure they would, there would be people that would be confused if they book their flight through Air France. The most that I could see as far as travel between Terminals 1 and 2 would be some sort of shuttle bus. I don't think there ar...

Re: MSP Airport
Exciting news. I am pretty sure this is the first scheduled A340 service to MSP. It will be nice to have a 4 engine jet, now that the Tokyo flight is a 777. It also adds to our paltry service from international airlines. Right now it is just a few Air Canada Express flights to Toronto as well as sea...

Re: Transit News and Happenings
Well, first off, I don't think your experience is typical. Yes, there are delays at times, but it seems like you had bad luck. The scheduled amount of time from Franklin and Nicollet to 3rd and Nicollet is about 14 minutes on the 18. Keep in mind that the section you rode was also the section most d...

I can see my bedroom window from that view!
I won't be able to see the construction from my apartment, but I will from the rooftop patio, once it gets a few floors off the ground, anyway.

Re: Green Line (Central)
I noticed they are installing catenary wire along University from about Raymond to Prior. I think what they were working on today was the cable that runs above the actual electrical contact wire, but then I am not super familiar with the technical aspects of exactly how it works... In any event, it ...
