Re: Fantasy maps
I live near Payne Ave and applied for a job by Nicollet Island. Fastest route is #61 (1hr 1m). 64->94->6 is about 8 minutes slower. I wonder if the Rush Line added the #94 route if it would make up that lost time. If the job were further SW in DT MPLS I'm guessing the #61 would be the slower route, ...

Re: Riverview Corridor (Alternatives Analysis)
My prediction is streetcar over Highway 5 (supplemental bridge construction) based upon the presentation we heard at the Transportation Committee. It was funny to hear they would be voting to reduce the options to 6 and then voting for an LPA two weeks later.

Re: Street, Road and Highway Projects
A message from Ramsey County says they are resurfacing Maryland between Clark and Edgerton Streets starting September 18th. The announcement makes no mention of restriping to 3 lanes or a test of any kind. This is actually discouraging to me, since it again would have provided the opportunity to try...

Re: Street, Road and Highway Projects
Also, I knew the city council member west of Edgerton was in favor of testing all the way to Arkwright, but I doubted the Ramsey County commissioner on that side would agree to it. My understanding was the test would just extend west to Edgerton.

Re: Rush Line Corridor (Alternatives Analysis)
No kidding. If there weren't racial implications it could be the "white line" since it goes to White Bear Lake. Maybe Silver would be close enough. If we weren't doing colors it could be the "Phalen Line" since it goes on Phalen Blvd by Lake Phalen. Who gets to make these decisio...

Re: Street, Road and Highway Projects
I didn't realize it would result in the delaying of #54. That is too bad.

Thanks, I went straight to the "document" page, where it didn't show up.

Maryland Avenue test extending to next May. They are considering how to tweak the section west of Arcade and how to make the Maryland/Arcade intersection work better. Re: Gold Line (Gateway Corridor BRT)
I wonder how much faster the Rush Line will be to get into DT than the 64. The 64 gets a little slow going through Railroad Island and along 7th.

Re: Gold Line (Gateway Corridor BRT)
Has anyone done a fantasy map of local bus service changes to get people to the Gold Line? I'm up by Ward 6 Restaurant and wondering how I could get to a Mounds Boulevard station, physically separated by Swede Hollow. Additionally I'm wondering if some feeder buses could connect the proposed Rush Li...

Re: Bicycle Infrastructure
As long as we don't then get into a protracted fight about exactly how much revenue is raised from $1000+ bike purchases vs. the cost of the infrastructure. You know, the belief that cars fully pay for streets and bikes should fully pay for bikeways. We have a user fee for transit, but that doesn't ...

EOst - Maybe if they bought out the orthodontist at 5th and Bloom. mamundsen - So that means there will actually be three stops in WBL rather than one? I would guess only one of those would have a P&R, and my money is on Marina Triangle, though just a guess. Glad there will be a stop in the down...
