Re: Suburban Transit

The proposed study was for 494 OR 62 to hold MNPASS lanes. I would think 494 would be the easier project vs. 62.

Re: Suburban Transit

I've often felt there should be buses which run around the 494/694 loop. Not everyone needs to make trips exclusively from the suburbs to the DT areas, granted many do during workdays, I get that. However, what if each suburban bus agency had a "region" or area designated to them along the...

Re: MSP Airport

Supposedly, the plan for T2 is to add another 2-3 in 2018 on the same end the three are being added now. Then, even beyond 2018, they could add about 10 more on the south end of the terminal.
Haven't heard anything new on G yet.

Re: MSP Airport

It would be great to see JetBlue here and I have heard MSP has been on them every year for several years. But I think we will be waiting a bit too, even for them. MSP has seen quite a bit of growth in the last 5 years with Southwest coming in 2009, Spirit a few years ago, and plenty of additional de...

Re: MSP Airport

What aircraft type do you think they would use? Would need range beyond 7,215 nm based on Great Circle mapping app. Then factor in number of passengers.

Re: Major League Soccer Stadium in Minnesota

The Rachel Strassen Burger on the Twitter machine has the most detailed response on parking given by Coleman or The MLS franchise. https://twitter.com/RachelSB/status/657625305931227136?s=09 If big Mac and Saint Paul are okay with minimal on site parking that's fine by me! Since the team plays in B...

Of course, I had hoped for MPLS, but as a United Season Ticket holder, I don't really care. Good news!

Re: MSP Airport

[quote="Ottergoose"]Speaking of parking, it looks like the new aircraft viewing area at the end of Cargo Road is nearly complete - the end of the road's no longer closed anyways; suspect an official opening will take place once the sod gets laid down. This spot offers really, really nice v...

Re: Cutting the Cord

I purchased the Amazon Fire stick and downloaded SLING TV to it. For $25/month, I get everything I was watching on DirecTV (paying well over $100/mo). However, Fox Sports is not on anything streaming, to my knowledge. We also purchased an antenna which replaced the dish, in order to receive the basi...

I believe we should be seeing the 2035 LTCP out for public comment soon. I had heard conversation they might dismantle some B gates to accommodate larger regional aircraft. But, I agree, not sure why UA would have any gates on B at any point. From MAC - meeting today 9/21 Public Comment Period Adver...

Re: MSP Airport

I suppose it depends what statistics are being used to determine airline rank at MSP. If a percentage of passengers is used, according to MSP Airport's statistics page, as of July 2015, Delta (and its regional partners) has flown about 73% of the passengers in 2015. Sun Country is at just over 6%. A...

Re: MSP Airport

They really were not even running 1x/day. This compares to Southwest running 7-8x/day and Delta with about 5 or 6 per day. Looking at some data, from Feb-June, SY averaged about 75% of their available seats were used on this route. But, with the competition, did they make or lose money? I suppose th...

Icelandair will also be retaining service until January 10, 2016 and resume again in March. In previous years, they had only operated May to October.
