Re: Major League Soccer Stadium in Minnesota

Peter Callaghan tweeted this today. Seems we're just setting our team up for mediocrity. Would be really interested to know what kind of number McGuire meant with "expandable."

Re: Minneapolis Fiber Internet and Cable Services

Travis, Can you give any thoughts on when and where you will be expanding to next in the city? Are looking into ramping up the speed of your expansion?

Re: Major League Soccer Stadium in Minnesota

I don't believe the Farmer's Market site is off the table after 8/31. The owner made a strange statement in Roper's recent article when he said if someone wants to make a "stupid offer" he'll sell. Is he taking a potshot at MN United ownership knowing that their offer will need to be highe...

Thanks for the explanation Wedgeguy, figured it was something like that.

Here's the webpage for the Hi-Lo Diner, http://www.hi-lo-diner.com/

Re: Hi-Lo Diner (4020 Lake St E)

Anyone know why they would've left the 2 original walls from the Taco Bell building and not just knock it all down?

Another Blue Door Pub location... YES! :D
Huh? I don't understand this comment.
The Instagram comment says they are partnering with the Blue Door guys to open the Hi-Lo Diner.

Well, you could've at least seen Stevie Wonder at The Wedge if you'd been in there last week.

Re: Minnesota Multi Purpose Stadium

It was similar to that, but it happened at about 5p today. It was in the same area of the stadium, but it was falling more inward, I don't think anything hit the street.

Re: Minnesota Multi Purpose Stadium

I was just at the stadium about an hour ago and saw what looked like half a seating section worth of that metal scaffolding come tumbling down, falling inside the stadium bowl. Didnt see any ambulances race to the scene, but it sure didn't look controlled.

Re: Major League Soccer Stadium in Minneapolis

I agree with those who think this latest article lacks a bit of meat. It's stated that Salmen hasn't met McGuire. He also said he has been in talks with the team ownership people for 2 years and he was told that the team would have to go through the legislature. So when was he told this, two years a...

Re: Major League Soccer Stadium in Minneapolis

Hard to imagine someone pay $100 mil to get into a league where your cut of the TV is worth $4 mil a year. It might make some sense if more into someone else's market to pay a fee, otherwise its nonsensical. Businesses fib all the time to make themselves seem more important, thus more worthy of pub...

Re: Major League Soccer Stadium in Minneapolis

Whether the contract was inflated or not, Beckham still left Europe for the US. He didn't come for free. Yes, many foreign-born players who come over are past their prime, but we have many US-born players who are opting for MLS, Michael Bradley and Clint Dempsey being the 2 biggest examples. Regardi...

Re: Major League Soccer Stadium in Minneapolis

The MLS is obsessed with superficially mimicking European power teams (Real, FC, United, Sporting) it shows weakness and it's unimaginative. I have to agree with you here. Some of the those names make me cringe and I also think they are unimaginative. But United and FC are prevalent up and down the...

Re: Major League Soccer Stadium in Minneapolis

An article from Reusse that doesn't completely ridicule the game of soccer, now that's news. Are the end times near?

Also, I think everyone already knows who pulls Bakk's strings.
