Re: Southwest Corridor (Green Line Extension)
No line is way better than the current plan now. I wonder about that- I'd have no qualms in saying Any line is better than SW (as you heard ad nauseum), but nothing is harder to ponder. I suppose, in return, we have one Billion dollars (two, really, as the Federal money IS our money, too) to spend ...

Re: Nicollet-Central Corridor
I think the bigger question is what is this corridor trying to accomplish from a transit perspective? Are we trying to connect people directly along the corridor, basically within a block or 2 of Nicollet in either direction, to local destinations a little faster? Or are we trying to connect people...

Re: Southwest Corridor (Green Line Extension)
You go with what you have and adjust as you get new information. Glad to hear you're finally onboard with adjusting to 3C! :ugeek: I know you're joking, but we still don't have any information that would justify the change. Lets be honest, there would never be any information that would justify the...

Re: Southwest Corridor (Green Line Extension)
I'd shoot my mouth off and say cost would be silly high;
but since price seems to be no object ...
I'm more at Matt's idea instead of trying to find ways to save a bad project that just beached itself

Re: Southwest Corridor (Green Line Extension)
Like it!
Just extend Hiawatha/central!?
Yellow could be a trolley, fit St Anthony Main and Nicollet perfectly!
It'd far less obstrusive than LRT.
Are you saying Yellow would branch off 'planned' Nicollet street car?

Re: Nicollet-Central Corridor
My honest answer is that we're so religiously devoted to dedicating space for mostly single-occupancy drivers, both to drive and park, that we don't even question if the space should go to other used. Even I got caught in creating a layout that needs to fit in on-street parking! Basically 9-10' of ...

Re: Green Line (Central)
Ha ha
spoke to man with camera, said he was just filming for development of the Metrodome area. He did say he took a couple shots of the train
don't see the train being towed, but do see a couple men on a cart sanding or skiving the new lines over the fly over bridge

Or would could just get a box of cheap wine, then smash the bottles on tracks when it's done. Both the grammar and content of this sentence are leaving me mystified. If you read several posts up, there's discussion about places to watch the test. I'd hope one would understand given that context Are...

Narrow trolley is just what doctor ordered-
It runs in it's old path; minimal interference with parking, traffic, peds- just like it was originally

Multi door boarding now.
Your responsibility to have proof of payment same as Hiawatha.
Install readers and vendors near all doors.
*instant* and *radical* speed increase to all lines, and allows driver to drive

Yes, close Hennepin to auto traffic. I'll get e memo right out for that one, too.
Random question, would you prefer HCMC psych ward or Bellevue?
