Saw an LRV being towed on the bridge over 10th Street to Royalston Station. Is testing starting soon?

People will try it if its free. Have more free days system-wide (sometimes for events, or just Free First Tuesdays) to get people into trying it once.

How well do large trucks navigate roundabouts? Seems like a big-truck area.

Re: Expo 2023 / 2027 / 2031 / 2035 / 2039

I will say that the Dakota County Fair in Farmington is the best option for people who love the attractions of the MN State Fair, but can't deal with the crushing crowds. Could be a huge upgrade if that site is chosen.

Re: Arterial Bus Rapid Transit Corridors

I think the 66th Street corridor would work better serving 34th Ave and Ft. Snelling LRT on the east end, rather then yet another south jog to the MOA. Leave that jog for a Cedar Ave/Bloomington Ave line.

Re: Hiawatha-Lake - Minnehaha - Downtown Longfellow

Anyone know what's going on with 3147 Hiawatha Ave? bricked up windows for decades, now broke open? If its a rehab, its sloppy. Doesn't look like there was a fire, but that's the only guess why it looks haphazardly cracked open, and then boarded from the inside. Unless some construction vehicle in ...

Re: Nicollet-Lake - greater Kmart area

Is the Blaisdell/Lake Street KFC actually going to open, or are they doing a bare-minimum restoration just to keep the drive-thru grandfathered-in, instead of losing it by letting the building deteriorate like the Burger King on Nic/34th?

Yet another grocery in the Hiawatha/Minnehaha intersection? Can the area support it, or is the B-Line encouraging investment?

Re: Minnehaha Park

Just heard about this one: Restoring the south-side stairs and viewing areas down from the top to the base of Minnehaha Falls. Three options, from replicating the WPA structures to replacing with wood steps. Survey due end of August.

I like the tricolor, now that I see the vague Minnesota shape the left side forms. Didn't see that until it was shown against a background.

Re: Hiawatha-Minnehaha Corridor - General Topics

Fence posts going in two different lots on Hiawatha Ave between 34th and 35th Ave. Construction related, or nuisance/homeless abatement? Neither lot seems active (except for the former "Big Timber" corner lot that looks to be temporary construction storage).

There was a fire in the historic Archer House on division Street in Northfield burned a couple years ago (faulty/misused kitchen equipment). The building cannot be replaced as-is, so here is the redevelopment redesign.

Northfield, MN Generic Topic (is Northfield a suburb? I think since it lies mostly in Rice County, than no).
