Based on their license applications, the restaurant name is Los Iconos but I can't seem to find any further info.

Re: South Nicollet-Lyndale-Kingfield-Tangletown-Windom

Looks like Hall Sweeney purchased the former O'Reilly and Dollar General lot on Nicollet between 35th/36th that burned down. Proposing a 5 over 1 with the top floor set back. 196 units, 148 car parking spaces, 196 bike parking spaces. Keeping only the south curb cut and adding a vehicle entrance fr...

Re: 3601 Nicollet

Enclosed parking would stand on the first floor of the building. Underground parking is not possible, Lehnhoff said, due to the site’s history as a gas station.
Interesting bit on this site. I'm so glad to see something happen to it after so long!

Had to create a new topic?

Why is this mansion so cheap? https://www.realtor.com/realestateandho ... 3199-27529
In picture 4 you can see 3 gas meters so this is one unit of potentially 3 on this property. Additionally, it has a $650 HOA monthly fee.

Re: Uptown-LynLake-Wedge - News & General Topics

Speaking of drive-thru's does anyone have an update on the Burger King at 34th and Nicollet? It was a bit of a rollercoaster of a story as far I know. The franchise owner closed the location, shortly after Minneapolis enacted the drive-thru ban, and then corporate BK took over the location and appea...

Re: South Nicollet / Kingfield-Lyndale-Tangletown-Windom Neighborhoods

Back on the topic of density from these newer buildings, I am thrilled to see so many of these projects planned and take off in recent years. Both Nicollet and Lyndale get very residential south of 31st St. That's not a bad thing (I'm a Lyndale'r) but the lack of multi-family buildings is odd to see...

Re: Seven Points Uptown (Calhoun Square)

So the taller proposed building in this rendering starts at Lake and Girard and crosses over Fremont and goes all the way over to Emerson. I don't think that's gonna fly. Also if Lunds goes in on the ground floor of the southern half of this other proposal, I don't think it would be a wise decision...

Re: Uptown Retail & Restaurant News

A "For Lease" sign has appeared in the location that was Blue Door Pub Lyn-Lake (Uptown). Their website still lists the location as temporarily closed, for now. I hope they return to the area in a bigger location at some point in the future.

Re: Karmel Square 2020

Wow this is a huge proposal. This proposal really elevates Karmel's street presence from Lake St, if only they could have taken over the Wester Union and Enterprise too! I'm not sure how I feel about the tower looking topper on the building, especially after Daymark just added one, but I'm glad to s...

Re: Lake and Fremont - 15 stories

I was on the South Uptown neighborhood call last night where the developers presented their plans for this building. It went about as expected with some supporting the height and others saying it doesn't fit the neighborhood. Also concerns about the rooftop party deck and what the exterior would loo...

Re: Lake and Fremont - 15 stories

I agree. Im curious to see how they manage to make it work with the parking ramp. The new or existing parking? The document linked above states the new parking ramp will be entirely enclosed within the building and not visible from the street, utilizing two existing curb-cuts on Fremont and removin...

I had no idea Herkimer's parking lot and patio was a city owned lot. On one hand I'm supportive of removing the curb cut and car access but I'd also hate to see Herkimer lose their patio.

Anyone know why they're tearing up the vacant lot in front of the parking ramp? Saw it while I was going by there this morning.
There's a temporary well permit open with the city for 1301 w lake St.

That Aldi is amazing and it feels really large inside. However I'm not sure about the 8pm closing time. I get it that's an Aldi thing, but I feel like 10pm is more appropriate based on Uptown Cub's busy hours.
