Re: TCF Bank Stadium

I don't think putting in chair backs is going to happen. At least in any large scale way. Considering Green Bay is pretty much all bench seats. I figure that unless the NFL has rules that X percent be seats with chair backs. Most of the seats will stay as they are now.

I just did a walk by today and they pretty much have over half of the first story of stick built. This is going to look pretty large next to the single story Cheapo.

72,000 Ladybugs Released in Mall of America Ladybug, ladybug, fly away home, the nursery rhyme advises. And some 72,000 ladybugs have found a home within the Mall of America, where mall managers have released the insects inside the fully enclosed shopping and entertainment complex. The Bloomington, ...

Re: The Great River Passage Plan

Its midway between St. Paul and the Airport/MOA, and a hopeful area for some more river-related events, previously confined to Harriet Island. Why wouldn't you plan for hotels here? Harriet Island in just over a year is going to be hooked up to the Green line by only a handful of blocks plus the wa...

Re: Sunday Liquor Sales and other Beer/Liquor Legislation

WOW the one sunday everybody has been prepping for weeks! Sorry but why could this not be the sunday before July 4th or St. Pattys day. What about just every sunday? Liquor stores might cry and tell you they need a day off. This is one thing we should really have allowed years ago!

Re: Southwest Corridor (Green Line Extension)

Can they not just tunnel or bridge this area? So they wouldn't need to reroute the trains. Seems like it would only need to be a mile or two long? I also would hate to see Henn ave get ripped up for LRT. If you want rail to go into uptown push for them to have it in a tunnel or on a bridge. Why woul...

How did this become $300 million? Where does it say this? For that kind of cash you could buy 428 Enzo 2013 Ferraris.
Or 1,003,344 Lego Enzo Ferraris.

Re: Convention Center Hotel - (330 South 12th Street)

Wait this hotel will cost 300 million? Are the sinks going to be gold plated? thats $300,000 a room in a 1000 room hotel. Drops down to only $250,000 if it has 1200 rooms. :o

I have to say I really like the door closing sound MUCH better then on the older type 1's. They look pretty good on the inside also.

Re: Mall of America Transit Station: Master Plan

I do not like the design. It will make it imposible to expand the blue line down American Blvd since you would now have to plow it though the new station. I also seem to remember they already did some renovation work to the current station. I can understand the idea of doing something fresh and new ...

The pictures sure make this building more bulky then I first thought. Is this a standard city block size? As much as I wanted a highrise on this block, I will say so far what I see, I like.

Re: Knollwood Mall - St. Louis Park

I am sold on the idea! Count me in as well. bapster 2006 I agree the mall feels dated. Those mirrored columns really make the place seem much older. like when they tried to renovate they ran out of cash before they could do anything with them. Off the top of my head I can not even think of the last ...

I am exicted to see what becomes of this corner. Is this the start of trend? When this gets built will gates open up to even more and taller apartment towers? The next couple of years will really be fun to watch. :D
