Re: Raymond Station area developments
Oh, they are only block from the area around Raymond station that wouldn't even require the lower parking that they are asking a variance for.

They presented for second time at SAPCC Land Use commitee meeting on Thursday night. It's 4-5 story market-rate residential just to west of McDonald's, its mostly smaller units but also some 2 and and a few 3 bedrooms, which developers expect to be mostly roommates renting. Basically rectangular bui...

Been hearing for awhile that US Bank branch at north east corner of Raymond and University would be closing by Dec because property had been sold. Rumor now is it is Kraus Anderson developing the site - they are buying the bank branch building and the building to east of it on University also. Appar...

Re: Future Cars: Electric and Autonomous Vehicles
I've been banging on this gong for a while, but using these AV's for collector shuttles that feed or distribute from our mainline transit service on short, predictable routes seems like a match made in heaven. Getting rid of the labor cost of the driver allows these vehicles to be smaller and still...

Re: Seven Corners Gateway Site / Radisson Red
Why is this not taller - I mean, for river view alone, height would be a winner.
Can't believe the value of the land at this location doesn't support taller building.
Are their height limitations I'm unaware of?

Re: Ayd Mill Road
Have they considered just closing St Clair entrances/exits and/or Grand to car traffic, just had bike, ped access? Would want to keep Hamline to avoid even mess around Snelby but others access to middle AMR cut off, traffic would probably never go on AMR and get spread over grid. I would assume vast...

Re: Weyerhaueser site redevelopment - 700 Emerald St
Unfortunately, it looks like from the civil plans that the parks dept is using and the road construction happening now, the new Myrtle street going in east/west here will not be connected to Curfew to the east, but dead end into the eastern Dominium apartments (Milberry) underground garage.

Re: Weyerhaueser site redevelopment - 700 Emerald St
City of St. Paul put out a preliminary plan for the square portion of park land the City bought back from Dominium, south of where apartments are going in. Pretty basic as not much funds for anything else. This part of park will constructed next year. The "Park 2" land that is curved forme...

This seems like kiss of death "Last I heard the St. Paul port authority was getting involved" My experience with them is they have know vision of what cities do best and where cities are going in future but rather think cities can reclaim manufacturing jobs of old by building same sort of ...

This will be an amazing take to compare after it is built. Remember it. http://www.startribune.com/counterpoint-express-buses-won-t-work-on-chicago-avenue/509927842/ That the writer is a member of a business association against BRT makes me suspicious it’s written in good faith concern. Re: E Line Arterial BRT
Would love to see the extension from Stadium Village to Westgate - Met Transit has been using Westgate as bit of a bus route hub and goo location given development happening in area and potential for more density. Though it would mostly duplicate Green Line for a few stops, many students and employe...
