Re: Downtown Minneapolis Restaurant News

I read that many restaurants have stayed open but do plan on closing once things fully open up. My hope is that best case it drives rent prices down and like after the forest fire we get a huge bloom of new places
What is the rationale behind that?

Re: Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board

Minnesota has one of the highest per capita golfing populations in the country. I think its no surprise lots of people play golf in the city. A lot more would probably play Hiawatha if they actually maintained the course.

Is the "Twin Cities African-American golf community" actually a thing?
Yes? I worked at Hiawatha growing up and continue to golf there, it's about as diverse a golf course you will find.

Apartments pitched at the NE corner of 65th and Lyndale. That strip mall is definitely a blight but man I will miss Lynn65 if this goes through.

Is daycare a good use for a first floor?
As opposed to a second or higher floor? Yes. Imagine trying to evacuate a daycare with infants and toddlers using stairs verses a door straight to the sidewalk.

My buddy lives a couple blocks away from the Denver version. "Good beer selection and food is decent, don't go if you have to be somewhere." Let me know if you want any more riveting restaurant reviews.

No. There's a different rendering in the article just a few posts up.
Yes, but that was the original rendering from 2015 or so. The one I posted was the their updated plan in 2016.
