What's really bothering me about this proposal is the extra drop off street proposed out front, making the feel from university even more car-centric. I get that there are many financing hurdles to the projects in this development, but this is pretty short-sighted and more of a suburban development ...

There's also that lot next to the Twins stadium, next to where Amazon already has an office. I wonder who would be responsible for creating the bid. I saw in the article that they're due next month.

Weird location, but love that the parking lots are getting developed! I do really like the design, it's going to fit in really well with the adjacent old buildings. Do we know if the other weird angled lot next to it (behind Periscope's lot and moving toward Valspar) is also poised for development? ...

Northern Coffeeworks opened up on Washington in the old comic store! It's awesome and serves coffee, beer, wine, and food (breakfast through dinner). Great addition to an already awesome neighborhood!

I work at Periscope and they closed down the parking lot for us on June 16th, so some things have been happening. But I've been wondering when they're going to start actual construction and completely close down the parking lot to other users.
