Re: Blue Line (Hiawatha LRT)
It has been yesterday and today for sure. As a rider who was stuck waiting 20+ minutes today and yesterday it still drives me crazy how bad Metro transit is at making station announcements when there are delays. Those who run Social Media are good about putting it out on Facebook and Twitter, our r...

Re: D Line - Fremont/Emerson/Chicago Rapid Bus
The D Line needs to happen. Personally riding the 5 everyday through downtown, the buses are crowded, and it has so many transit dependent riders.

Re: Public Transit News and Current Happenings
Probably like the Dan Patch Line gag order where the Met Council and MnDOT can't study it but cities (and maybe counties?) can. Of course unless the route is within one city or county then its kind of meaningless to discuss it. Or just do what MnDOT has done and rename it. Can't study Dan Patch com...

Re: Public Transit News and Current Happenings
So was just wondering, Jeff Johnson is running for governor again, and he wants to put in a moratorium on Light Rail Transit. Can he only prevent the state from studying and funding or can he prevent counties and cities too? I wish we could put a moratorium on his Governorship runs! If I had to gue...

Re: Nicollet-Central Streetcar
In an interview with our future mayor: " Q Is the Nicollet/Central streetcar project dead? Are we still raising money for it? I think it is dead. But yes, we are still capturing value on projects to fund a streetcar. Four years ago when I ran for council I was for it, for the economic developm...

Re: Nicollet Mall Reconstruction Project
I interviewed Jesseka at Mid-America and was happy with the direction she's taking for the Dayton's project. They are focusing on mixing local, national and new-to-the-market brands, and ensuring retailers include some type of experience beyond just the same version of a store you'd find in the 'bu...

Re: Nicollet Mall Reconstruction Project
The biggest issue facing Nicollet Mall now is to get the many vacant store fronts filled with retail tenants. It's feels barren with all those empty spaces. Yeah, the whole building by Nicollet Mall Station, Macy's, the old Barnes & Noble.... :( On another note, they built that whole second pla...

I have experienced them in Kansas City and Miami, still can communicate with the operator. It is kind of like when you go to a Super America with the shield.

Re: Public Transit News and Current Happenings
so that is about 1 in 4 years for Blue Line and 1 in 3 years for Green Line. I wouldn't say that is the worst. So three derailments from the Blue Line, and one derailment from the Green Line. Is that a good safety record?
