Re: Downtown Minneapolis General Discussion
Sounds similar to the on they built in Milwaukee 3rd street market. It was a really good vibe when I was there and had a lot to welcome more families with play areas and games

Permits from the city call it a coffee cafe. But it is owned by Umbra Arts and they look like they set up an art gallery/gift shop in there.

Re: Riverview Corridor Not Streetcar
I feel like we need to break out what the cost of a road rebuild alone will be. This needs to be done either way and I can only imagine it is at least 30% of the cost of this project. This is a similar length to the gold line with massively less bus only infrastructure and they are saying it is ...

Re: Public Transit News / Current Events (MN only)
Metro Transit is sponsoring "Royale" the premium subscription for the Transit App. Sounds like they are actually using the survey data that the app collects on vehicle and stop cleanliness which is awesome to hear

Re: Street, Road and Highway Projects
They should look to the Nicollet ave project they just finalized in Richfield. I know their city has a lot more interest in safe street design and they are putting up money for a lot of the street features but would be great to see this just copied down into Bloomington. Raised crosswalks ...

Re: Better Bus Routes - Metro Transit
kinda funny they are eliminating the 61B branch as Metro Transit is going to be occupying 2 buildings along that stretch of Industrial BLVD.

Re: Street, Road and Highway Projects
I really like that we are doing these road diets with better ped bike and bus infrastructure. But we need to move onto the next steps of better intersection design. Raised crosswalks and other treatments to better protect people from turning onto and off this road. Also raised intersection make ...

Re: West End area - St. Louis Park / Golden Valley
I was looking on google street view and it looks like that building has never been occupied since it was built which is kinda crazy. Makes sense that they would add more office back since they are planning on tearing down the two buildings across the street.

Also went by the bike path between Hiawatha and Nokomis the other day. I didn't realize their planned infrastructure upgrades were actually happening. The path is already moved and the piers are poured for the new bridge across the creek.

love the comments, the bridal veil pkway and trail are actually shown as a tunnel in alt 2. Because of that i feel like that just wouldn't provide as comfortable of an experience as a trail bridge

Re: Hiawatha-Minnehaha Corridor - General Topics
Man that is so sad, it is insane that anyone ever view on street painted lanes as acceptable in a winter climate. But I suppose people didn't think people would bike in the winter. As this is my first winter riding its amazingly reliving to get to a separated bike path. As someone who is confident ...

I'd saw the last one was 54th street in southwest minneapolis in 2018. so disappointing to ride that road with parking spots that are never used and a painted bike lane that disappears in the winter
