Re: Green Line Extension - Southwest LRT

so basically no Metro Transit has no plans to extend any bus service to 21st station. Because they don't have restrooms or area for operators to take a break and not enough layover parking.

I thought there was a specific bump out on Thomas ave S for buses to layover at even from before this ...

Re: Downtown Minneapolis General Discussion

my uneducated guess is that the fireworks will be back next year but to plan the "biggest fireworks display in the country" I assume it almost takes a year to plan especially since it is synced to music. Also looking at the web page target is still a sponsor.

Re: Southside - News & General Topics

Can someone explain to me why they are doing this. It seems like something the school district should not be investing time and money in given their current enrollment and financial situation. But I am not apart of the community that wants this school so I may be missing something.

Re: Blue Line Extension - Bottineau LRT

Also the problem is we need the third maintenance facility that would be built up by Target. If you don't build the line up there you wont have that facility.

I guess you could maybe build it out where it was originally proposed for the green line extension

Re: New Basketball Arena Discussion

another thing I would add is the city owns that random building to the west of the cedar lake trail access point. If you reconfigured the trail access you would have that area as well for the stadium. Also the subterranean set up would work well for this site and you could have a large loading dock ...

Re: New Basketball Arena Discussion

I really feel like this is the best area for the stadium too as it is right between the Royalston Station and the Target Field Station. They could also find a way like others have said to tie the plazas of the two stadiums together and create some sort of gateway to the farmers market area. Plus is ...

I made this map a while back with Green being easy to develop, yellow needing work and red most likely off the table.

Personally I think they should figure something out with capping 394 and the City owned ramps ...

what would be your proposal to make up for that lost revenue?

It looks to me like we are right in the middle of the pack in terms of sales tax rates compared to other states.

well in MnDOTs never ending quest to fence off the unhoused people they have fully fenced off the sidewalks of both franklin and cedar underneath Hiawatha. And now the people have moved to the ramp of the 24th street ped bridge. So basically you cannot walk between Philips and Seward now.

Re: South Nicollet-Lyndale-Kingfield-Tangletown-Windom

I agree, this area is my neighborhood, and I am not really against this. The area just needs major infrastructure improvements if this happens though as there are no sidewalks in the area and streets that take 90 degree turns. Additionally, this is supposed to include a large outdoor training area ...
