Opened yesterday! Is the Galaxy Drive-in on hold, due to COVID-19?
If Micro Center moved, would they choose a smaller space? Large space, low rent, plenty of parking… seems like a dying breed in well to do first ring suburbs.

Re: St. Louis Park - General Topics
Unrelated, but have heard some rumors starting to float around the neighborhood that the strip mall hosting Micro Center may not be long for this world... A slight shame, as I was really looking forward to taking the train to Micro Center. I am hoping they can relocate or be incorporated. That reta...

Re: St. Louis Park - General Topics
Lol, I was just reading the Nextdoor thread as well. It's about time somebody does something with that empty lot. The keyboard warriors are all in on fighting this one! One even suggested they wanted to get rid of the apartment because it wasn't a residential use for the neighborhood! :?

Likely a noise issue, with the inside areas and balconies not meeting noise standards if they were facing the freewayThat rendering looks like they’ve change some of the orientation. I’m not the biggest fan of the donut apartment plans.

Re: Electric Scooters
Spin scooters debuted in St. Louis Park today and the old folks are already flustered on Nextdoor that "kids ride these things!"
Damn kids having fun! How dare they during the summer!! Maybe don't drive your oversized SUV 40 mph in a residential neighborhood and we can all coexist...

Jason DeRusha talked with Zimmern, and he said they are truly doing a remodel and reopening.

Re: West End / Central Park West Development - St. Louis Park
I heard about Lucky Cricket closing on the 4th for remodeling. Anyone else find it strange to close for remodeling 8 months after opening? The Facebook page says it will only be closed for a couple of weeks, but it's following a post the same day that said it would be open 8am on the 5th. Doesn't s...

Re: Bergan's Redevelopment - Cedar & Minnehaha Parkway
Minnehaha Scoop will be adding Dave's Popcorn here shortly. Minnehaha Ave/34th St E. Does this mean Dave himself and the current popcorn shop at 47th and Cedar will be closing? Or a second outlet? Daves was at 38th/Cedar and closed late last year. He sold the recipes and equipment to Minnehaha Scoo...

Re: Bergan's Redevelopment - Cedar & Minnehaha Parkway
This is a decent proposal. Now if someone would just come along a build a remake of the old Dave's Popcorn that used to be on the opposite side of Cedar, the corner will be nearly perfect! The popcorn was perfect and even the long summer lines waiting to pick some up were fun. Minnehaha Scoop will ...

Re: West End / Central Park West Development - St. Louis Park
Fair points, and I agree people talk about surface parking as convenient. But it seems like people never talk about the advantages of covered parking? No scraping snow off your car, no excessive solar heating on a hot summer day, no tree blossoms or seeds (or minimal, if in an open-air ramp), no bi...

Re: Allianz Field and Snelling-Midway Development
I asked folks how their transportation went on Saturday and received almost all positive responses. - Seems like the A Line was a clear winner, with Metro Transit running some of the artics from the C Line. I hope they will be able to make that move throughout the year, even once the C Line begins ...

Re: Allianz Field and Snelling-Midway Development
People who are worried about parking here are missing where the true clusterf*** is going to be. They're projecting 6,300 people arriving by Green Line. That's got to be comparable (or perhaps higher) than what Vikings and Twins games see, and they're serviced by both Blue and Green Lines, and have...

The Wild, Twins, Wolves, and Vikings all have stadium operated team stores operated year round, open all week except Sundays for most of them.

Re: Archive Apartments (Not West Elm Hotel & Condos) - 102-120 1st Street N
Could be replacing the lost public parking for the nearby event centersGlad the facade is no longer a five alarm tire fire, and I'm always for a nice outdoor sign. But... why is this called the Archive? Why does it have 1.6 parking spaces per unit? Still some issues with this one.
