"....Fifth Floor -Women Only-....."
Why would you include that stipulation on the drawing?
And I guess they mean it, too- only one restroom on that floor in the drawing, with stalls only....

Re: Lake & Nicollet Redevelopment (Kmart site)
I noticed a yellow line around the Nico Plating site with a diagonal dotted line through it.... i don't know what the thinking there is , but, I worked at Nico's sister company for 25 years, and they aren't going anywhere, ever, never. They have put millions into updating, and remodeling, and they w...

Re: Vision Loss Resources Redevelopment - Lyndale & Franklin
We obviously need more rental housing- but I was hoping it would have been of the more affordable type. Maybe renters in this new project will vacate affordable options for the rest of us who aren't salaried professionals. Also, I'm a sucker for the more vertical designs- especially the closer to co...

Agreed! That's really sharp! Love the brick and restrained use of design elements.
Not a bad looking building, a couple of floors of office wouldn't be a bad addition
to the project, it has a stately, official, vintage look to it-

Bwa ha ha, I like that- "fedora"- ha ha haI hope the fedora on top of the building also gets reworked into something better.

This building, by eye, looks like it is about to be topped off...
I haven't sat and counted, but it looks like they have about three or four stories on Nord Haus-
This project went up pretty fast in my estimation- it's not distinctive in any way, but it is a massive filling of space....

What a crappy piece of crap- crap. Nope! they are outta here. They failed. Their proposal is unacceptable, its shot. There was a process to win the rights to develop here, United FAILED. Other proposals were cast aside, they were told they weren't good enough... I wanted Duval to win, and perhaps t...

Fine. Build the P.O.S..... I'm not gonna kiss their hand because they are going to put an office building Perkins style cafeteria in to fulfill their promise of commercial space.... But they have been cheapening their proposal since day one, I would rather an empty lot that retains it's potential un...

The city's request for proposals (RFP) outlines its goals for that critical junction: "... an iconic, high-quality, designed new construction structure(s) of at least 20 active floors a mix of commercial, retail, residential, office and hotel uses active street-level retail integrated green spa...

One of the other developers in the sweepstakes to earn the rights to the parcel might have been able to stay truer to their initial proposal. We, the residents are not responsible for what the proposal is now, the City of Minneapolis is not responsible, either. United Properties is responsible alone...

Re: OX-OP Gallery and Residences.
My thought is Minneapolis should have some sort of "expectational zoning" where a building proposal would have to be of a certain height, and specify a certain quality of materials, and also pay attention to the economy of space so close to the downtown core- I'm assuming that in a generat...

Oh Yeah, much better views in the packet, I understand the building better, now. I didn't notice the wrap around aspect of the building on the Lake Street side from the first drawing... I also have a problem with the need for ornamentation. Ornamentation does not equal good design. There are plenty ...
