Re: Southwest LRT (Green Line Extension)

For those with long commutes, the drive is worth it for one of 4 things typically: the pay of the job, the size of the house they have, the amount of land they have, or the location of the land. Driving further to have land in the country with a decent size house on it is worth it for some. I’d add...

Re: Southwest LRT (Green Line Extension)

^^^ I think that's really the gist of it. I can see someone from Eden Prairie taking the Green Line once in a while to a Wild game. I don't see a lot of people taking it to their job in downtown St. Paul because you would have had to have been a masochist to live in Eden Prairie and take a job in S...

Re: Stillwater Development News

Stillwater is nuts. I have never had to park further than three blocks from the main street. I used to go a lot in the middle of the summer and would park at the post office which is .2 miles from main street and there was never anyone parked there.

Does anyone even use the parking ramp?

Re: Hillcrest golf course redevelopment site

Isn't it technically zoned Urban Neighborhood? According to the 2040 plan that is pretty broad. "Urban Neighborhoods are primarily residential areas with a range of housing types. Single-family homes and duplexes are most common, although multi-family housing predominates along arterial and collecto...

Re: Bike Share

We already have a system of fixed location bike stations. The point of dockless, with enough bikes, is they can be pretty much everywhere. Hubs only stand in the way of them actually working like that.
I guess I am just more in favor of expanding hub locations.

Re: Bike Share

As for finding a bike if there's no hub, you need to use the app anyway, which will tell you where the bikes are, and the presence off a hub doesn't mean there will be bikes there (there were none at the 46th St Station this morning and one at the hub at 21st and Bloomington last night). A hub does...

Re: Bike Share

According to the map, it doesn’t look like people are parking them in the hubs. I still don’t fully understand the idea of the hum. In my opinion, I feel like it contradicts the whole idea of dockless share. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I guess the idea of the hub is it's cheap to create a hu...
