Regarding the roadwork and development programs that are supposed to last over 5-6 years, I'm always quite skeptical... Our taxes are going there for the next couple years, and if at the next election, someone else wins and has different priorities, it'll all be in vain as the program will be abando...

Yeah, the hospital's already far from any public transportation line, so there's no use buying it to do something that won't have any relation to the university. Otherwise, it will just be something that's hard to reach, which won't deserve spending the money it'll cost to buy it.
