Good progress on apartments on 16th Ave, just south of E Lake St.

I've been watching this one. For a while I had thought they abandoned it after framing up the first level. I guess they decided to start working on it again. Anyone know how big it is going to be?

I'd like to see spending on a per capita basis. The more people an area has the more roads or transit or bike paths or whatever infrastructure they choose to spend the money on. You could completely grade separate Bloomington from the Parkway. Not every road needs to intersect.

This was also my thought. It isn't as if 15th and 16th won't be options to connect to the parkway. Although having no intersection could cause traffic on Bloomington to travel even faster.

Looks like the PPL/Family Partnership project on the southeast corner of Lake & Bloomington is underway. Foundations going in north of the Powderhorn Post Office.

Is this project multiple phases? It looks like an apartment complex is going up along 16th.

Bloomington Ave is having the bridge over Minnehaha reconstructed. I thought I saw somewhere the park department wanted to rework the intersection here. To bad they are just reconstructing the bridge and not replacing it with one that would allow the parkway and pedestrian paths to go under Blooming...

Does the city have a program for affordable retail space? Maybe instead of affordable rental units the first floor could be affordable commercial spaces? I thought D line was going to add a stop between 43rd and 51st. Did that not make it in?

Why does our transit planning have an east side bias? If the population center of the metro is near downtown Minneapolis shouldn't that be in the center of the map?

Hopefully ridership at 21st will be high enough to make this all worth it. But somehow I just don't think it will.
