Re: Brooklyn Park - General Topics

I think people will like it and will even be nice for family's on a road trip to pre order there as well as others who really like contactless. Look at even prior to 2020 how popular targets curb side pick up was. Risky behavior is truly up to ones own views. Some view walking around a lake without ...

Kwik trip has very good food for a gas station. I wish the speedway they are rebuilding by me was bought by them.

Re: B Line Lake St Rapid Bus, Midtown Rail Transit

I think its more common then people think.

Re: B Line Lake St Rapid Bus, Midtown Rail Transit

A rail line down the greenway would really fix alot of the transit issues on lake st.
I know there was a issue as to why it wasnt pushed for but im not sure what it was.

Re: Nicollet-Central Streetcar

As an uptown resident im still slightly bitter about the SWLR not having a stop in the area. That being said I have long liked the idea of a streetcar/light rail line to the area. If they could somehow make this similar to a light rail line it would be a huge in for the area. Granted its very unlike...

Re: Uptown-LynLake-Wedge - News & General Topics

I would believe as I recently toured and price checked alot of places around that part of the city; I live in/close to that area (assuming how they define it). There were alot of new units that hit the market in the lyn-lake /uptown area of the past 12 months. Add in a mix of entertainment / bars cl...

Re: Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board

The history does need to be communicated and its important to the area but I also dont see how that cant be done even if its switched from a 18 to a 9 hole.
Could anyone give some insight on this?

Ok so it says Prieto has a lease through 2029 but they have long since left for a different part of the city.

Re: Uptown-LynLake-Wedge - News & General Topics

I think they might have closed after the first lock down so its been empty for some time. I walk by it every few weeks and it looks like its not in great shape at this point but maybe thats just the boards(which the city should do what it can to encourage business to take those down). I think having...

Re: Uptown-LynLake-Wedge - News & General Topics

I believe a new ternate recently went into the east side of the retail building. To me not counting lots that already have proposals for them, the one story building at lagoon and freemont next to the new planned parenthood. It drives me crazy given its prime location as well as the front facing par...

Re: 17 North Washington - CA - 27 stories - ~300'(?)

I can respect that view point and I do think we need to save some of the modernist buildings in the city and if this was the Northwestern National Life Building I would be up in arms if they wanted to tear it down. I just dont see this one as significant.
I also rather like the new proposal

Re: George Floyd murder and aftermath

The facts actually do support third degree charges as well as the current second degree charges as it was "without intent to cause death" and I dont think you can prove that he was without a doubt trying to kill him. Thats why the calls back in june for first degree charges were beyond foolish. The ...

Thank you!
Really most would be an improvement including D2 which I would assume is the "fall back" option and one that would actually serve north Minneapolis.

What were the old alternative options for the line?
Maybe they are dusting off one of those.

Re: George Floyd murder and aftermath

All very good points. I have to think it was the defense to put pressure on the state as I think your right about Ellison unless both have all about agreed to it and he wants to make sure there is not public outcry over it.
But yes all speculation at this point.

Re: George Floyd murder and aftermath

I can his logic but at the same time no trial is a sure thing. Even a 3rd degree plea would have been huge and I just dont trust Barr. Just seems like it could have really lowered the temp in the room for the whole country. I had not thought of that, maybe he is looking at his options and thinks tha...

Unreal to me, Chauvin was willing to admit to murder but Barr blocked it.
