Re: RBC Gateway (Four Seasons) - 37 stories - 519'

I'd say great view. Not so much the shot. Dirty window with lots of glare. So gold star for effort. Why do people on here always have to be so negative or make such snarky comments I'm so sorry you were offended . Truth is truth. Adults accept that. You guys are all a bunch of passive aggressive fu...

Re: Hiawatha-Lake - Minnehaha - Downtown Longfellow

Just wondering if anyone has heard about them being able to save the signage for the historic diner that was in the building that was lost?
I don't think so. Image

I really don't mind the design. Nice to have these lots finally developed. Only concern of mine would be safety at times. Really want the lot off Hennepin to be developed into a nice mixed use building. Would love to have a movie theater back downtown.

Re: Park Laurel Building

I went by this a week ago (15 15th St N). They say they're leasing now, but renovation work is obviously ongoing. Here's their website: https://thelaurelmpls.com/ https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51211837315_c6e7b7e809_z.jpg PXL_20210529_153103351 by Michael Hicks , on Flickr If I still live in ...

Headed in to my office to clean my desk for due to new desk assignments. Stopped to check the progress. Tried a photo taken through my office’s dirty windows, I like the look.

Getting a lot of suspicious looks and questions when I say I'm from Minneapolis in CA these days.
Yes - use to say that with so much pride, but now mixed with feelings of shame, etc.

Did they ever catch the dude who damaged the memorial? Stopped and ripped it apart with bare hands then took an axe to it?

Re: Downtown Minneapolis Retail News

Businesses should be allowed to put up something like what the IDS has for its major retail/restaurant tenants. Why not put up something permanent like they did for the Superbowl directing people to the skyways....

Re: Downtown Minneapolis Retail News

Fascinating - the Hennepin half of the ground floor is fully leased, then. Wonder if there's any chance the ping-pong bar that was slated to go into the Embassy Suites space across 6th pre-pandemic could still happen? Can someone give more deats on the restaurant moving into the old Prime 6 spot. C...

Got a photo of it the other day!

Love it! It's people like the owners of this type of businesses who I believe will help bring back downtown.

Equipment has arrived on this block today, hopefully it is for this project. They mentioned a couple months ago they were hoping to start construction in April. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210510/914c5de33aec47ce99cd33958a37808f.jpg Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk Looking at how this ...

Really happy to see this building being renovated. Affordable apartments to remain (again - who's idea of "affordable" though).

Can someone point me in the direction of the plans for the new Lake Calhoun Pavillion (sorry - will always be Calhoun to me - no offense to anyone) are located. Can't believe more people haven't weighed in with their comments. From what I saw - I like the plan they agreed to go with.

"Park Board members make $12,438 a year plus benefits" per the Star Tribune. https://www.startribune.com/minneapolis-park-board-debates-raises-that-could-double-pay/491506101/ That may be one reason that we do not have representatives that take the job seriously? Bourn's behavior has been...

Re: Seven Points Uptown (Calhoun Square)

Any news/updates. Based on the released images, is CB2 going to move out of Uptown? What about Kitchen Window? If a grocery store is moving in, assuming it's going to be Lunds, then the current Lunds/parking lot will be sold and redeveloped.
