Even the Star Tribune commenters are wondering why we didn't build the train through Uptown; I hate to agree with them, but they're right. I imagine in an alternate universe where we did do that, they'd wonder why we didn't build in in the Kenilworth corridor.

It's gotta be Bassett Creek for the least used. Sandwiched between 394 and the impound lot. Bryn Mawr doesn't have much, but at least it has the park and some people living near by.

Lyndale Ave reconstruction is pushed back another year to 2028. All of the project approvals must happen by next summer otherwise the project will lose $9 million in federal funding. Shouldn't be able to push it back any further without serious consequences.

Can someone explain to me why they are doing this. It seems like something the school district should not be investing time and money in given their current enrollment and financial situation. But I am not apart of the community that wants this school so I may be missing something.

That's such a bold variance request to push for a 1 story bank in a 6 story minimum transit 20 parcel. I can't imagine they would allow that.

I believe that it was a $2 million dollar shortfall that came up when Blue Cross and Blue Shield dropped as a sponser. Would have absolutely been worthwhile for the city or Met council to make up the shortfall. A lot of the equipment was aging and needed replacing and I'm not sure if that factored ...

I've always assumed they were some sort of front or money laundering operation. Hours are too bizarre to be anything else.

Any bit of late night transit service, especially serving downtown would be appreciated. The fact that the last light rail train out of downtown is before 11:30 is ever disappointing as you have to sprint out of a concert or event to catch the last train or you're plain out of luck.

I think he may be angling for a senate appointment when Klobuchar is governor. At first I thought it would be Angie Craig, but she seems to have shot herself in the foot with the Laken Riley Act. I'd love to be wrong, but it's hard to think of another statewide Dem with more name recognition

The mayor and the city still have to ask the council for funding approval on all of these construction projects. That's not something they can get around. It makes sense to come to them before that and present for layout approval to make sure they're okay funding it first, no?

Makes me excited to see proposals popping up at all in front of the Planning Commission. Feels like it's been months since there has been anything noteworthy in their meeting agendas. Next Monday's meeting has 3 apartment proposals totaling 177 units of housing.

It's a few years old and some of the ridership data has certainly changed, but I would bet that LRT still makes the most sense for the corridor. LRT is an investment for the future in a way that BRT is not.
