Re: Minneapolis Neighborhoods / Neighborhood Organizations
Another merger happened about a year ago. Beltrami and Northeast Park neighborhoods joined forces to form Lower Northeast Neighborhoods Association . St. Anthony East and Logan Park were invited to join but did not end up doing so. https://www.startribune.com/two-northeast-minneapolis-neighborhood ...

Strib has a series of recent articles on the ongoing disagreement over the City's plan for George Floyd Square, which has had over two years of public engagement at this point.
Here's the City's report that was released in October prior to this recent flurry of articles: https://lims ...

Re: Downtown Minneapolis General Discussion
I have hazy memories of downtown Mpls from the year 2006 when I moved to the Twin Cities, but my best recall is this:
- Downtown core - absolutely hopping on nice summer weekdays, pretty quiet on weekends, weird vibe during the winter with everyone in the skyways. I think Marshall Fields was ...

Re: Housing Market/Economics - General Topics
To be honest, real estate prices are almost always on a steady upward slope, and that big drop some people keep waiting for just doesn’t happen anymore. I’m not saying you should rush in and invest all your money now, but it’s not a good idea to waste time either. I understood this after a few years ...

Re: Downtown Minneapolis General Discussion
I really do like the idea of the marquee outdoor skating venue that could be open well into the shoulder seasons (if not year round). Based on the imagery, it looks like they're proposing Gateway Park, but I feel like we could find a better site than that. Suggestions?
I like the idea of an ...

Re: Sprawl
I was trying to joke a bit with the "at this rate" part, but I'm still curious where things will stand 10 years from now because the way I see the sprawl we have isn't as uniformly spread out but clumps along they major highways and interstates because outside of 494/694 we don't have any massive ...
