Re: Dock Street Apartments - (333 Washington Avenue North)
Odd KSTP story/clip about Dock Street (and potential Hines office tower) blocking Target Field views in the North Loop. Kinda surprising that they mentioned the potential increase in transit and bike trail usage without finding some right-wing conspiracy angle to taint the story (it is KSTP after al...

I actually took a few yesterday, but unfortunately I can't compete with spectre000's great angles. Those are awesome!

Also, the enforcement of the stand/walk zones at 7th/Nicollet has really fallen off since they tazed that guy. Lots of fearless building leaners today.

Re: Transit News and Happenings
My ride on the 18 didn't take any longer than usual :) Perhaps quicker than usual due to the bus one block ahead picking up all the crowds and my near-empty bus eventually passing that one. That resulted in a heavy load of free riders boarding at Grant Street though, but we still made good time. I f...

Hmmm...they definitely downplayed this at the Whittier Alliance meeting when they were requesting a liquor license. LOL. I can't say I blame them!

Re: Uptown Restaurant News
Nope. This is a fast-casual concept. Think Chipotle or Noodles, but probably with better beer selections. There won't be tap beer or liquor of any kind.Nightingale is open now at 26th and Lyndale.
Will the new WSK have a bar? If so, good spot for next UrbanMSP happy hour once it opens?

I didn't notice this before, but you can do a time-lapse of each of the 3 camera angles. Who doesn't love a good time-lapse of construction?

I don't know if Northeast needs it's own sub-forum, but perhaps we could combine headings with either downtown or U of M. Or maybe that's a bad idea and NE topics should remain in "Minneapolis - Outside Downtown" which isn't the most accurate name for that sub-forum anyways. I forsee a lot...

Re: BUZZA Lofts of Uptown
The way this building is lit up at night is really cool. On the Lake Street side, the lights shine from the ground up to the cornice, showing you exactly how tall the building is. It definitely livens up that side of Lake Street, at least until you reach the CVS/Arbys/Rainbow/giant traffic island du...

Re: Bicycle Infrastructure
Maybe not a free subscription, but certainly a couple 24-hour passes to every household in the service area couldn't hurt. It's amazingly simple to use, but looks confusing and awkward if you haven't tried it. I like the idea of offering discounted 1-year subscriptions for first timers for sure. I d...
