Re: U.S. Bank Stadium Construction Updates

Heck, the last time I went to a Vikings game (free tickets to Farve's first pre-season game vs Green Bay in 2009), it was already $20 at 11th and 2nd St. Tailgate lots are gonna easily be $50 plus I'll very much agree with you. Anything close will be premium priced. Especially when that $50 could b...

Re: TCF Bank Building Redevelopment

Time for everyone to find a therapist and get a month or two with of anti anxiety meds so that they can make it thru until the big reveal!

For some that was a joke, for a few , not so much. You will survive until March or April.

Re: U.S. Bank Stadium Construction Updates

I look at it this way, the price to tailgate will go up big time as the limited number of lots will be charging BIG bucks for those that are willing to pay. You thought parking was expensive now for games I see it going up more, especially for surface lots for those that want to tailgate. Thank to T...

Re: U.S. Bank Stadium Construction Updates

Sorry we don't need surface parking lots left just so tailgaters have a place to party 8 weekend a year and we have to deal with empty lots 52 weeks a year.
44.....sorry, had to do it.
44 weekends, but still have the 52 weeks that we look at the wonderful asphalt shrine to the automobiles.

Re: Uptown Hotel Discussion

All this now is kind of a mute issue. The city council passed this building did it not? Also they really have very weak legs to stand on as far as a lawsuit. The small area plan is not set in concrete, but a development tool. No one will be deprived of any sun, If Lake Street is not considered a com...

Glad to see that this will be a 2016 project and count towards another billion dollar year of construction in MPLS.

Re: Uptown Hotel Discussion

What would the difference be between the interests of home owners versus renters? While many home owners would possibly have a spare room for guests, renters do not. Having a hotel that is close by or walking distance away from where you live would be much more convenient than shipping guests downt...

Did they get that one for a freebie too or will metro transit maybe see some money this time?
Viking will get most of the naming right if I remember right. We get 10% at best for the station.

Best of my knowledge there is a large chunk or real estate in the old Hard Rock space that still needs a tenant on the 1st floor.

So apparently the Washington Ave Anytime fitness will be moving down the block into the new sexworld building, or at least that's what my trainer said...
He or she maybe talking about the old Sinner's store front to the east. I think the SexWorld corner will be restaurant/bar in the end. IMO

Re: U.S. Bank Stadium Construction Updates

I'm one that is tired of the financing debate, it is done and nothing is going to change any of the facts. I do find the stadium to be quite unique, Will give one great shot coming in from the NE and from 94 as you head in from St Paul. Still not so sure the doors will be this buildings best foot fo...

There is definitely a very sharp and drawn line on the free range kids. I was a free range kid in a small town. I would ride my bike at age 10 a couple miles out of the city and back, or I might ride a Square mile section. I really feel sorry for today's youth in that they can not go explore their o...

Looks like the walls of the basement are poured here. Still will have to get the floor poured unless this was only one level of parking. But at this point nothing happening above ground yet.
