Take it for what it's worth, but I assume this is for the Superior Plating site:

Re: Nicollet Mall Reconstruction Project

the staircases were a central component of this redesign. to have them removed is disappointing. i wish we would have uniform wayfinding, logos and hours for our skyway system. Agreed. The light and art walk, and really the entire mall/mile, will be something nice for people to look at from the sky...

I previously rented at the Sexton and can tell you that all of those windows facing South are in units. The hallways have no windows.

Re: Velo Apartments - (103 Second Street North)

Whatever happened to the lit, color-changing, VELO sign? Can't imagine that space is going to remain an ugly blue blank canvas, although it wouldn't shock me if it did.

Re: Stanton Condo Building - 516 S. 8th St.

I can confirm this, however it will be 15 stories, not 34. Construction to begin this fall, completion in 15 months.

Re: 4Marq - (313' - 30 Stories)

That is incorrect. The article that states that ground breaking would occur in December is below and was published 11/22/2013 following Mortenson's purchasing of the land. The March '14 article addresses the doubling of the apartment vacancy rate downtown and only states that construction is expecte...

Re: Latitude 45 - (301 Washington Avenue South)

I think for some the confusion is there is a proposal for an apartment and hotel on Washington around the corners of Park or Chicago intersections. I'm too lazy tonight to look who the developer is or which corner, but it will hopefully help to ease confusion that there are now two different apartm...

Re: National Marrow Donor Program HQ - (524 Fifth Street Nor

Looks like there will be retail. From the Staff Report for the 12/2 Planning Commission Agenda: "Along 5th Avenue North, the applicant is proposing to have a restaurant space in the building. The restaurant will be open to the public." http://www.minneapolismn.gov/www/groups/public/@cped/d...

Re: Block E

I can't be alone in thinking that they need to rename this building. The "Block E" moniker just has to go away and die. It's too synonymous with failure

Re: Current & Proposed Downtown Minneapolis Projects

I noticed that the small building next to the Hennepin County Human Services Building on Portland Ave between 5th and 6th Streets is being demolished. Anyone know anything about this?

Re: Target Center Renovation

It's beyond time to get started with the renovation. However, I have a hunch, real work will not begin on this until after the MLB All Star Game at neighboring Target Field, to avoid the area being at the eye of a construction zone. Too bad, lost opportunity to put our best face forward to the nati...

Re: Southwest Corridor (Green Line Extension)

"Something will have to be postponed..." I wonder what Peter McLaughlin was alluding to with that one. You can't exactly postpone a bridge or tunnel on the line and put it in later. Why not postpone all park & rides, except for the one at the end? The SLP and Hopkins stations will dev...

I also am in favor of this project. It will be interesting to see if/how the city will be able to obtain all of the necessary funding for a 2015 groundbreaking. Tiger V Grant + Value Capture District + ????
