Re: Southwest Corridor (Green Line Extension)
I don't mean to take us too far off topic, but do you feel like SW is more poorly routed than Bottineau? Some have suggested moving Bottineau up in the order, but it seems that will traverse more low-density and park lands than SW.

Re: Surly Brewery - (Malcolm Avenue & 5th Street SE)
This unnecessary rant about "Is the new Surly going to be hard to find" has run its course - and you getting all upset, and staying that way, isn't doing this thread any favors. GPS. Google. Trial and error. People will be able to find it even though it's not on a main intersection. Move o...

Okay, it's officially time for a the next US Bank tower: "U.S. Bancorp was the most profitable big bank of 2012 and third-best overall performer, according to new rankings by Bank Director magazine." http://www.bizjournals.com/twincities/blog/banking/2013/08/us-bank-wells-fargo-most-profit...

Re: Betty Danger's Country Club
Fair enough... I don't intend to launch a be-nice-to-hipsters campaign, but it sometimes feels like a general dislike of young adults. I'm also unimpressed by the stucco and dorky awning, but the building currently looks like crap, like an abandoned Pizza Hut from the 70's. The ferris wheel, sign, l...

Re: Betty Danger's Country Club
The constant derision of hipsters (aka post-college people who live in our city) is getting tired at this point. Are you unhappy with current fashion trends? Moving on, this place looks interesting, is being designed by Smart Associates (behind a lot of cool stuff around town) and will be successful...

I like the severity of this one - it fits the neighborhood in my eyes. And I'm also really enjoying the panels. They turned out better than the rendering in my eyes. I realize I'm one of the few who like this, but I have all along. And it's a beast.

Didn't the original architect offer his vision of an accessible improvement? IIRC, it was a beautiful plan.

Re: Dismantling Downtown Freeways
Can someone give an example of a specific trip that was strongly impacted by the bridge collapse (like, by more than 5 minutes)? I can't believe so many of you are saying this! Having that bridge out of service made almost every trip I took longer by more than five minutes - anything involving Broa...

Annie potts? Of 'Designing Women' fame? I really liked all of that... FWIW, my friend at Wells Fargo has no doubt they're signing on to this project, but said they always move at a glacial pace and are obsessive about dotting the i's and crossing t's. This is getting fairly far along for it to just...

On a different note - here's a F&C story, summarized by the Business Journal, about Ryan's eventual full build-out of this site: "That's the gist of a Finance & Commerce report that details city documents that give a “maximum development scenario” for Ryan's plan. On top of the 1.1 mill...

They're working on it - progress seems to be pretty slow, as most of the work is still below grade.
